I remember when Raphie told us about the movie reaching $30m for sure in Brazil  I told $25m would be great already and that $30m would be very difficult to reach..I was right :P  However I never expected less than $20m

I don't think that SW will do much more either.

it has opened everywhere expect spain, india and greece. Off that only spain is off any significance. It did over 15m there. I am expecting a drop considering how bad the market is,ER being 15% weaker and the general trend of MJ2 everywhere. So around 13-14m across 3 markets would be good. I am thinking 140m OS weekend looking at the trend. So around 380m OS overall could be the target. If it has good legs in Europe/LA then it can hit 400m at best.

But its trending towards 280m domestic and 380m OS for 660m WW.

    Wow!

Killing it in LA - might kick out IO as the 2nd top animation of the year! No one ever saw that coming!

HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 2 continued to bring in audiences with another$20.4M on over 6,300 screens in 50 markets. It has kept very strong holds in its second weekend, dropping only 33% overall. The international cume on this animated family film from Sony rose to $59.8M in only 34% of its international footprint. In Latin America after only 12 days in release, it already surpassed the lifetime gross of the original 2012 film by 15% with $41.8M. It only dropped 32% in the region from last weekend’s debut so it continues to be the No. 1 film in Latin American marketplace.

hotel-2.jpg?w=321&h=174Specifically, the top Hotel T2 market is Mexico, ranking a clear #1 for the weekend with a 41% drop to gross $4.6M from 2,500 screens. The cume to date is $14.8M and that rises above the lifetime total of the first one by 33%. Not to be outdone, in Brazil, it’s down a mere 25% to scare in $1.8M from 963 screens. the total there is now $5M. Also in its 2nd weekend, Argentina, is still holding the top spot, after chasing in another $1.3M from 270 screens. And that means only a 38% drop from opening. In Argentina, the total to date is $3.9M, and — you guessed it — it also surpassed the total gross of the first installment by a big 67%. The same holds true for the Southeast Asia markets of Malaysia (+70%), Singapore (+16%), the Philippines (+88%) and Vietnam ( :D ).

France will bow next on Oct. 7, followed by Italy on Oct. 8, then Germany (Oct. 15), the U.K. (Oct. 16), Russia (Oct. 22), Spain (Oct. 23), Australia (Nov. 26), and South Korea (Dec. 24)

And just like that, Inside Out became a dead zone in just 1 week.

  6.

The Little Prince kept the first place in Brazil surpassing the premieres and the powerful Tom Cruise with his Mission Impossible once again outperformed the trendy The Man from UNCLE Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer were in the country to promote the film, but to no avail. The most surprising was the drop of only 5% over the previous week.

My projection for next week is the permanence of The Little Prince in the lead. I increased my revenue projection in Brazil, already envision $ 10 million at the end of your journey. The only certainty I have is that the film will surpass the numbers of admissions of France were it not for the terrible exchange rate also surpass the total gross $$$.  :P

Opened in the first place also in Central America, beating The Man from UNCLE. :)

Argentina approaches the 200,000 admissions after three weeks, $ 2 million is possible.  ^_^

France lost momentum, came out of the Top 10.

So who believes that the film is being successful? (taking into consideration that it is a French animation)

It has already beat The Lego Movie in Brazil!

    :)
