Hiddleston is already 38 and looks 45. no thanks. Cast someone younger and good looking.

joe alwyn? he'd be 30-31 when they start shooting

Isn't Bond supposed to be over 40?

Also since when Joe Awlyn is good looking, isn't he Swift's new boyfriend?

I agree with Jack Lowden, he may be young but he looks 35+ he can work it and he is a good actor something that Madden isn't...

That's your bomb of the decade. Nobody produced more bombs than their thirst for leading man status.

    Ryan Gosling is still trying

I think Passengers and Solo are the biggest disappointments, Green Lantern was also a huge flop while superheroes were on rise.

Do you have any regrets about working with Bryan Singer? Did you weigh the allegations that were out there about him before signing on?

As far as I knew, I was considered before Bryan was even attached. So I had my head down preparing for this for about a year ahead of time, and I never really looked up. I didn’t know much about Bryan. I think that the allegations and things were, believe it or not, honestly something I was not aware of, and that is what it is. Who knows what happens with that … but I think somehow we found a way to persevere through everything that was thrown our way.

Perhaps that was Freddie himself doing it, because we wanted to make a product that was worthy of him. Who knows? I’m just proud that this cast and crew collectively raised their game and we depended on one another. It was a testament to everyone’s spirit and courage and skill. And one thing I will say about everyone — almost everyone — we never gave up. How about that?

Maybe it's only me but they keep on being dishonest about this film, i knew about Singer since his X-men days how come he didn't knew... and after that he just name drops Mercury to save the game..

Everybody forgot the obvious...David Bowie. The fact that he was also an actor is Oscar bait fodder for any actor.

As for MJ, yes, a biopic can be made, pedo or not. All the worshipped rockstars were sexing minors going back to Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Mick Jagger (and Bill Wyman), Jimmy Page, Bowie, Iggy Pop, Steven Tyler up to Jared Leto.

A David Bowie movie would have been amazing, but it needs a very charismatic actor and his son doesn't want this. It's a pity

  5. I enjoyed this movie very much, and the reason was the amazing songs. I will not pretend that i was an Queen fan for years but everybody knew the songs so listening to them all together was huge fun. Other than that it was like reading wikipedia, it jumped from scene to scene, and from song to song without investing in the story.
Rami was amazing but it is kind of annoying that he keeps imitating Freddie Mercury even on an awards stage or when he is asked about Singer he answers "it's about Freddie, people love Freddie".
People love Freddie and Freddie Mercury was and will always be more than just a movie. There will be more adaptations in the future so i wish they could just stop hidding in his shadow to avoid problems.

  9. I think Solo will not do well but i don't see it as a sign  of SW fatigue. I personally liked TLJ but have no interest so far in watching Solo.

People who care about Star Wars will not accept Han not being Ford and falling in love with another woman than Leia, for the others it will be the 4th Star Wars movie in a row...not even close to an event movie.

    Greatest acting?

Hamill was good, Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver improved, but you also had an amateurish performance from Kelly Marie Tran and phoned-in, wooden performances from Oscar Issac and Laura Dern.  Poor Carrie Fischer could barely recite her lines.

Do agree about the great cinematography, though.

I aready said the greatest acting compared only to the all the other SW movies, i honestly can't remember Hamill being better in any other SW movie. Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac are great actors in and outside Star Wars. Driver is really amazing t in that "proposal scene". Ridley and Boyega both give a very honest performance.

It's not like the other SW movies were renown for their acting, i think TLJ takes the crown easily.

well they found it bad! what can they do fucking do about it? say otherwise just because they may be a minority? even if 99 out of 100 like a movie i/you/him/she can say it's bad if we don't like it without being told we are just pretending. nobody spends money hoping they hate a movie. why have so much butt hurt over it as long as you got your money's worth?

"I don't like a movie" is very different than "This movie is bad".

Then can say whatever they want about TLJ but they can't dismiss the great cinematography and the greatest acting a SW movie ever had. Critics do value this more than "Luke wouldn't do that" arguments.

You skipped over the part that says

"Panjiva research analyst Chris Rogers says that part of the problem is the recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filed by Toys R Us, which not only  has the giant retailer ordering less product but has spooked the industry"

Man, a major toy retailer isn't ordering many shipments because it filed for bankruptcy.  I wonder why toy shipments are down?

I thought we were blaming Rian Johnson for it.:D

Yes you are right, i didn't read it all.:P

This article talks about the seven months leading up to The Last Jedi compared to the seven months  leading to TFA and Rogue One which means there was already lack of interest! :D:D

I agree that the movie is divisive, but the first two numbers are junk science.

Someone just forwarded to me a petition to remove TLJ from canon.....people are being ridiculous, and he is 21 i can't see how his childhood got destroyed by the movie. :D:D
