    £2.1m Wed+Thu in UK.

DoFP made £1.6m OD Thu and £9.14m 4 day. So Apocalypse is definitely running behind, which was to be expected. Still, it should have a decent weekend, somewhere between £7-8m ($10-12m) full opening.

What we have to remember though is that Wednesday has the 2 for 1 offer so that would have contributed to a lower gross on Wednesday. It should do a lot better from Fri-Sun.

  2. 500 mil?!!? Jeez... Talk about overrated! I watched Maleficent 2 weeks ago because of all the fuss and I left the theater feeling so disappointed. This is basically a kids movie so why adults rave about it so much?!

I know what you mean, I'm a little bit disheartened that Maleficent will overtake X Men as the 2nd biggest film of the year. Totally undeserved in my opinion. I saw the film and thought it was ok but nothing amazing!

  3. From Boxoffice.com:

X-Men: Days of Future Past reeled in another $11.3 million from 47 markets, including Venezuela's $1.7 million first place debut (just 2 percent behind Iron Man 3). Holdover markets Brazil ($1.3m, down only 34%), and the UK ($981K, down only 35%) lift the international cume to an impressive $477.3m. The global total is now $694.3 million.

  4. $14.8M after 8 days. Will die soon. Poor legs + Jack and OZ take away 3D screens.

Poor legs? I don't think so. The last one only made over $10 million in the first week and this has made over $14 million in a week so this is doing better. Yes, I understand that new 3D films are coming out, which is stupid to release them this close, but still I wouldn't call it poor legs. Especially since the movie has been all over the internet since September, and people have even seen the movie in Chinese stores being played for the public to see.
