I think there’s a mistake; Belfast was already at £11.3m last weekend.
Likely a mistake on Screen Daily's part, we will see the real number when BFI releases their chart

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) - The kills are awesome, there is some nice gore effects and a good amount of blood. The film overall though does suffer from trying to add in too many messages and never really exploring any of them further than surface level. One of which centring around a very traumatic event which is not handled well AT ALL.
Dog (2022) - I actually really enjoyed this movie. Channing Tatum carries it, given he is the only one who can say anything for about 70% of the movie. It sure is predictable, but it has heart and is a wholesome good time.

I know there's guidance for TV programming, but not sure when it comes to cinemas. There may be pressure to cancel certain types of movies in a similar way that the BBC is banned from showing comedy for 2 weeks after she passes.
I think cinemas might close the day of her death, like if it happens early enough like before 3/4pm in the day and the day of the funeral I could see them being closed (which is 10 days after her death and would be a bank holiday)

I'm so curious what the preview numbers are for Last Night in Soho given it can't even get to $5M off a $1.9M opening day. Was the pure Friday really that bad?

Wolf of Wall Street has a lot more than just swearing to earn it an 18 rating.
Gone Girl was an 18 as well IIRC there's one scene in that film that earns it that rating but also a use of the C word towards the end of the film.
Which is why there is an ellipsis after 'very strong language.' The short description gives you a very brief look at what gave it an 18 rating, The longer description describes the context for those things and also mentions issues that would be rated lower than the film's rating
-
Very impressive total! It's got more to climb soon too

Looks like it’s rating was made up of “Violence with injury detail, Very strong language, strong language, drug use and sexual threat”.
They don’t like injury detail.
Yeah, I do like how the BBFC only mention what gives the film the rating in the description and they go into more detail in the in depth ratings info for the stuff that would reach the lower ratings rather than mentioning everything in the description.
But yeah, the only thing that gives the film the 18 rating is the injury detail, all the other stuff not in the main description would be at 15 or lower level.

Language can only put a film at 15, afaik. THink you can have as many uses of Cnt as you like and that won't ever be enough to give it an 18, regardless of context.

Wolf of Wall Street is rated 18 for 'very strong language...'
It works the way f**k works at 12A and 15 it seems. Any aggressive use of C**t is automatically an 18, if you use it too much it will also be an 18, I was just wondering what the number is where they'd slap an automatic 18 on it
-

Depends on the context I think, if someone just calls someone a “c**t” then it’s granted a bit more leeway, it’s when it’s used in a sexual context that they make more of a thing out of it.
Yeah, I think if you use it aggressively / with violence its also automatically an 18 rating. I guess it's probably like f**k where any more than a few uses and it gets the higher rating.
-
To be fair, with the 18 rating, I'm surprised they didn't add very strong language to the description cause there are two uses of c**t, I'm curious how many makes it a automatic 18.
-

I’m still amazed it’s an 18, nothing in the film warrants that rating. I’m going to guess around £600k.
Have you seen the film? I think there is one scene that is quite excessive in terms of content for the rating. Obviously won't mention which scene so I don't spoil it.
