she was 92, hardly a sad day. i'm sure she lived a great long life

If it had a Latino as lead, it would've been doing on par with TCU, considering how popular the tale is in our region. Please, don't try to defend whitewashing.
yeah, we see how popular movies lead by latinas are, miss bala recently comes to mind
its sad but the world prefers white leads

im watching this new netflix show called Special and guess who the lead name drops in the first episode?? blake. damn, her impact has no end!

Warner knew they had a turd in the hands, that's why they didn't promote it as part of TCU, although, they should've took off any connection. Two bad movies in a row will hurt the brand.
because the annabelle movies arent turds 😂

Can't wait for the Hustlers weekend thread to be interspersed with Napoleon and TombRaider whining to each other about J-Lo for 8 pages, while everyone else is trying to talk about It 2's second weekend.
I used to be a big jlo fan to be honest. im just hating on her lately because of the trash she releases
these were the times:

Why is Jennifer Lopez the island so many people on this board choose to die on? Either defending or hating on her
She's successful. Some people like her, some people don't. Wow, it's not like that is unlike ANY other singer/actor.
She isnt. she was succesful from 98 to 06 or so with a couple exceptions in 13 years (on the floor). the fact that shes 50 and is doing embarrassing lifetime movies (simple act) says that much about her talent and artistry

what's up with Jlo's resurgence? Couldn't she be left in the early 2000s where she belongs? For a talentless person, she got lots of projects coming up. am i the only one who finds that weird? Insidious forces are at work here...
she's a millionare and obsessed with fame so she pays to be everywhere. she'll always be a joke anyway. shes like a kim k who tries to sing and act but is awful at both.
as the talented mariah carey said, the world 'doesnt know her'
ps: why is a previously banned member allowed here?

Sure, because we all know that it was global box office megastar Constance Wu's presence (and not the immense popularity of the book "Crazy Rich Asians") what powered the box office of CRA, the film.
By the way, care to make a prediction for this too, like your "triumphant" prediction/club for Second Act?
i dont know cochofles, should I?? I actually dont know because cardi b is very relevant now so that could make it a hit combined with wu's bo power
the other girl, jennifer lopes or whatever who just released a single and it didnt even chart on spotify top 200 has no power.
-
Nice to see constance wu in this. the movie at least has one box office draw now

Your avi is making me imagine an alt-verse where this stars Blake Lively, Lupita, and Gina Rodriguez.
Blake, Lupita and Ana de armas* would be much better

This doesn't look as atrocious as the 2013 & 2017 movies, but I'm still shocked Aubrey Plaza is wasting her talents doing this, she needs a breakout ASAP, I thought 'Ingrid Goes West' would make people notice how great she is, but nobody cared.
well you answered yourself. I looooooove IGW, but it flopped and i guess ingrid wants some $ cause indie movies dont give that
-
how does kstew keep getting roles in 2019? horrible actress and not a draw
-
they keep making remakes of decade old movies and its the dumbest shit. hellboy was perfectly fine. nobody asked for this

Why is this movie still divisive for box office? It opened huge on expectations from Get Out and has dropped a lot faster resulting in much shorter legs. That seems to jive with the general consensus of a good but worse movie than get out with an ending many didnt appreciate. Even if dropped 50% every single week from now it's still a big success so what does it matter?
well debuting at 70m of course its gonna have worse legs than a movie debuting at 33?? Us is a smash hit.

How did this get 94% on RT, if this came out before Get Out rating would be much lower, lol. At least it was original.
this is why i dont trust critics. most people i know hated it
