Not a bad start. Nice that the month will end on a somewhat not disappointing note even though the box office is likely gonna suck for every other movie.
Is this $1.9 included in Monday's EA shows?

Kinda mediocre start for Challengers (198k) if you think about the promotion, the big number of copies (almost 600 for the weekend) and it was a pre holiday day.
Let's see if the WOM will help it but doesn't seems like something will break out. Still could go to 4-5M final territory.
Poor things opened with 270K on a casual thursday
Challengers had 27k viewers and made 198k, while Perfect Blue has 21k viewers and made 206k.
Why this difference in ticket prices? -

Minha Mãe é uma Peça 3 surpassed Nada a Perder to become the highest grossing Brazilian film.
Oh I didn't see that you had posted.

Minha Mãe É Uma Peça 3 became the highest grossing local film in history here in Brazil, with R$144m one month.
I liked this film and it is much better than that of the quack minister.

Minha Mãe é uma Peça is way too popular.
Frozen probably won't beat it this weekend.
Minha Mãe É Uma Peça 3 is about to become the most successful local movie of all time.

It is still in good shape not?
Yes it is. The theaters are very busy this month, the sections of both are crowding.

Minha Mãe é uma Peça overtook Frozen on Thursday. Apparently the fight will be tense this weekend.

Paulo Gustavo is the king of Brazilian cinema. It's been weeks already and the movie has returned to the top spot.
End of the year has his other film that will pump hard at the box office.

In several days Alita Battle Angel will release in Brazil, I don't expect big numbers but who really knows?
I think it will flop a lot, no one comments on it here..

At a time when Brazilian national cinema is down, seeing Minha Vida em Marte (My life on Mars) going super good is phenomenal. Okay, it's a comedy and this is the only genre that Brazilians like about national films, but it's nice to see they still have good box office.

Thanks a lot. Not sure what you mean by the dollar price though. Shouldn't it be at $3.6-3.7 million though?
I said it wrong, anyway. The dollar is at 3.87.
This data is box office mojo, much more accurate. Every Friday they update. That was the week of the premiere. Dragon Ball debuted at 1.7M

Where did you see that 3.5m figure?
https://www.omelete.com.br/bilheteria-brasil/10-janeiro-2019
Here it is in the local currency, but the dollar's price is at 3.84. Disputing against 2 other animations hurt him.

Here in Brazil, this movie is not bad at the box office. It made 3.5M so far and is in the top 5. The big problem was the fierce competition that did not let the film stay in the top spots.

Will Venom reach $20m? Won't be easy but not impossible yet.
I do not think it's impossible, but it got complicated. He did just over 1M this weekend, I think he should be between 18-19M.
