Captive State should have been on Netflix where i could ignore it in favor of the other better alien invasion movies out there on Netflix. As it is, it is a bomb.
i didn't like the movie.

I could see what he means if he says Warner Bros has a more diverse set of films. 2018 had a number of different Warner Bros movies become successful

Can't say i liked it. All of it is just 2 hours of characters i don't really care about walking around planning stuff. While the aliens barely show up. All the while John Goodman does nothing but mumble and look glum every minute he is on screen. It is not too clear what is going on either. And nothing the characters do seem to matter anyway so i just feel like i wasted my time.

So Blunder Park is over performing? That is like a buffet over performing expectations by being bland rather than being a health hazard.
Any way this park still is having low attendance so shut it down.

Ok so i feel like a dummy, but what is Gone With The Wind? It is showing up in 3rd place on Thursday according to boxofficemojo. Seems like some random old movie i would see in high school.

Is there a fanbase that couldn't care less about reviews as much as Madea's does? Doesn't matter how low the scores are, they'll see it anyway.

Illumination movies aren't too bad, but good luck remembering them a day after seeing them. They are a way too designed to do well at the box office for my test. That may be a strange thing to say but you need to look at one to see what i mean.

traditional animation has been dead ever since Disney thought pitting Winnie the pooh against the last Harry Potter movie was somehow a good idea. "hint hint it wasn't" . and that sucks

Love that HTTYD 3 is succeeding. Such a great movie. Even if i think they should have showcased the Hidden world a bit more. And if the baddie was more than snidley whiplash

Even if u look at MPR, ITSV, AQM, BB in December. BB and ITSV had a very high critics score but ITSV was far ahead in Audience score than the rest and it showed in legs.

ITSV 97% 94%
BB 93% 78%
AQM 65% 78%
MPR 78% 69%
TLJ, TGS, JUM another example. TLJ far ahead in critics score while TGS and JUM far ahead in Aud score.
Critics haven't been too useful in recent years. When everyone has twitter and can say what they think of the movie, why go for your critics when your friends can tell you what they think. I rely alot more on what my friends and others think and i don't think i am far from the only one.

but then again i think Dark Phoenix would have probably gotten 40-45 million friday to monday OW. Especially if that movie turned out bad. so things wouldn't be that much better.

Alita is bombing? good. How about we see some more real anime on the big screen like Broly and not any more of these fake Live-action abominations. Ghost of the Shell, DB Evolution, the likes don't work.

You know what sucks about Alita? that it still made enough that studios will continue to try to make more bad anime live action adaptations instead of making animated anime movies. Anime and live action do not go together at all period. Quit trying to make them a thing.
