  1. Hmm. I wonder if 1.3 mil early access in China over 2 days is good. Weird though it’s happening now since it doesn’t come out for a whole other week
  2. So, need to ask, is a pre-screening closer to a preview or an early access? Cus apparently TFone did 1.3million in pre-screenings in China over the last 2 days, which is weird cus it doesn’t even come out there until the 27th.
  3. Yeah and the last knight grossed the lowest domestic of all the movies before and since. Micheal Bay killed most of the potential the movies had after releasing one of the worst big budget films to come out of Hollywood in its history. Bumblebee may have been a derivative of ET, and Rise of the Beasts may have had a lukewarm reception, but they were far better received both by critics and fans than anything Bay had done past the 2007 movie, and TFOne looks like it’ll join that group aswell. The series isn’t reeling because he isn’t here; it’s still recovering from the damage he did. At this point though it sadly seems like the damage he did to the franchise might've been permanent.
  4. They really fucked up with that first trailer. I just hope this movie failing doesn’t cause Josh Cooley to leave. The only silver lining to this thing bombing is hopefully, paramount would finally realise they desperately need kick Lorenzo Di Bonaventura to the curb
  5. Tbh aren’t the only points of comparison like, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania, and apart from those, we haven’t really had an animated September movie since before 2020 changed a lot of cinema-going habits? Kinda feels like we’re flying half blind here atm
  6. That honestly would’ve been the smartest decision they could’ve made. Part of the reason Hasbro said ROTB was a success (at least for them, paramount withstanding) was toy sales, and the toy sales for that movie were as high as they were because it was unexpectedly pushed back a whole year, meaning instead of having a relatively crappy toyline out in 2022, and having the toys people actually wanted in 2023, all of those toys came in 2023 when the movie came out. Doing the same here would’ve meant 2025 would have a shitload more transformers toys on shelves, and actually good ones at that.
  7. Tbh spiderverse did a lot better first time round than what TFOne looks like it’ll be doing Apparently it was 92 million, so a bit more than things like Spiderverse, but nowhere near the crazy nonsense of a lot of Pixar and Disney at least
  8. In fairness, that could be an unreliable metric since The Wild Robot is also the exact name of the book and the IP itself, whereas Transformers One is only the name of the movie. Plus Wild Robot’s relative interest was likely higher at an earlier date due to its embargo being lifted earlier. Bayhem was good for the first three movies, and then Bayhem killed any and all goodwill in movies 4 and especially 5. The franchise isn’t in need of bayhem, its still recovering from it.
  9. Could be, but if early access word of mouth hasn’t kicked in and boosted presales, why would it boost walkups?
  10. Honestly the most depressing thing here is that if this movie fails, they’ll likely not do a sequel and argue with Josh Cooley until he leaves like they did with Caple Jr and Knight, and go ahead with the doomed to fail GI Joe crossover, while still somehow keeping Lorenzo Di Bonaventura employed.
  11. Aye, but at least Spiderverse got a Christmas release and a really good box office. It’s a damn shame if the first real good transformers movie doesn’t get a follow up cus of box office issues. This franchise ain’t ever recovering after The Last Knight.
  12. Walkups are gonna have to be fucking insane, otherwise this thing isn’t even making it past 30. Are there any other movies with tracking even vaugly similar to this?
  13. Could EA still be eating into it? This is looking like it isn’t even gonna hit the lowest predictions atm
  14. I feel like saying it’ll make more than bumblebee is putting a bit too much stock into it. Still has a very good chance of being kneecapped by wild robot. If anything, I’d wager that even over 120 domestically isn't locked in atm. Early access is good but presales could still go tits up
