  1. Not to be a dick (okay, so I am being a dick, but whatever), but I think it's telling that the two people in the thread who profess to hating the Coen Brothers did not spell their last name correctly.

I think you've found your suspect.

Wes Anderson is another person I never understood. Wes should team up with the Bros. to make the most batshit non-sensical mess of a movie. Throw in Quentin for good measure so he can just rip-off scenes from all movies done in the last 50 years to sew one together and call it 'paying homage'.

  2. Just some hitman walkin around with a gun in an dry deserted town trying to recover loot. Not my cup of tea. I signed off after 20 minutes and floated through the rest of the film. I remember all the rave reviews and praise this movie was getting, and I went to watch it ... didn't do it for me. I never read the book either, so I was invested in that way either.

I have never liked a single Cohen brothers movie. Not for me.

  3. I really enjoyed this one. The beginning was directed very well and drew me in. Figured i'd see some good martial arts. He also plays a frightened/worried person really well when you know he's a giant man.

It's up there with Taken/A-Team/Grey as my favorite Neeson films. I remember watching Darkman with him in it when I was about 10.

    B+

  4. I enjoyed the first two when the Wayan's brothers were still in their prime. The third one was a different production crew I believe. Anna Faris is the only redeeming quality, Simon Rex was pretty good too. They tried to pack waaaaay to many jokes into every scene.

I believe this was around the same time that all those other terrible parody's were coming out. Date Night, Spartan Movie etc, I don't enjoy those for whatever reason.

  5. Predictable plot is predictable. Too long movie is too long. Stupid villains are stupid. Chemistry between our 'lovers' isn't there. Sudden game-changing plot device is sudden. Third act is three minutes long.

Oh, and this might not even be a real movie.

    4/10

I did enjoy the first half of the movie.

I'm in the same boat. I wanted to like it but the movie seemed so bland. It felt as though they were training the entire time for some epic showdown which never happened. Seemed like a 2 hour set-up for a 2 minute pay-off if you could call it that.

Mom + Dad , didn't care for. Woodley looks better on Craigs Fergusons couch getting interviewed. The romance was forced and crigne worthy.

    Overall, a hollow film.

  6. It sucks that the credit scenes were the best part. This whole rob riggle playing a completely ignorant cop and suddenly being one of the best one man teams to take on a gang at the end totally pulled me out of the movie. It was a bit too far fetched.

Also, since I follow comedy so much, having Natasha Leggero playing the ditsy chick after having watched so much of her stand-up also took me out of the movie. Having watched so much of Keegan's work on MadTV and Key + Peele, that also ruins it for me. Riggles schtick is wearing thin.

I don't find Wayans Jr. to be funny, so that doesn't help with my enjoyment.

Rating : I'll watch it again if it comes on my 3 movie central channels.

  7. I didn't need to watch the leaked copy to know that it would be a waste of my time. All of these actors have had great roles in their lifetime ... you can't 'combine their powers' to create a super movie, all you do is get a watered down action movie. Ensemble casts are the worst, just can't dedicated enough screen time to develop enough of a streamlined story worthy of my time.

    Rating : Will not watch

  8. I enjoyed the movie all the way through. Mixing in social media and having the son teaching his father what twitter and vine were was amusing. The sending of the tweets was a nice touch. I always had ideas of owning a food truck and I am a foodie so this movie didn't hurt in that respect. It was a breath of fresh air after watching so many downer films or films that lack heart in general. This is purely a heart warming picture. Soundtrack was great as well. It never goes to high or to low.

The scene where he rips apart the food critic was well done and Leguizamo is a great addition.

  9. I really enjoyed this film. Some of the action sequences were a bit much, such as the apache helicopter grabbing the mustang off the cliff while the baha trucks were en route. That was my main gripe.

This actually felt like a video game / movie hybrid. It truly made me nostaglic for Need for Speed : Hot pursuit on the PS2. The final race through the forest was 100% like the video game.

The girl was super hot. Aaron Paul was great. Bad guy did seem like a genuine douche, I didn't like his face.

The cars were excellent. They didn't go for rice rockets, but went with super cars and also good old muscle.

Micheal Keaton was great as well.

    Overall a B.

  10. This movie was unexpected. This director has some talent. It was all out excellent camera work and stunt work. Every so often the movie lulls but than the action starts right back up again and a whole new set of stunts are thrown at you. Script was non existant as it wasn't even necessary. Going to watch Raid 2 pretty soon.

Lol. I never knew they tried a Criminal Minds spin-off, I just checked out the cast, I remember an episode I really liked that had Forest Whitaker in it, his team actually seemed more experienced and had fancier gear. I'll check that one out. I haven't watched NCIS / CSI / Law and Order, so I can't say if those are in the same category as criminal minds.

I tried watching 'Lie to Me', but I eventually gave up after 4 episodes. I tried watching 'Damages' gave up after 2 episodes. Dexter / The Wire / Criminal Minds / The mentalist all had me intrigued after their first episodes.

I don't like much reality TV, but I do like The Shark Tank. It's a spin-off of our Canadian Show 'Dragon's Den'.

I don't like talent competitions, survivor, amazing race, housewives of whatever.
