  1. I recommended the same thing a couple days ago. It's annoying looking at the Twilight vs. THG showdown. THG has already blown by all of them and just furthers the gap even more. Yeah, a DH2, Sith, THG showdown would be cool. Maybe SM1 thrown in there, just incase. ;)

I would be so happy if this somehow got to 400 million but I don't see that happening...especially with The Avengers around the corner.
  2. I remember that, it rivals the original Shrek for impressiveness, the original actually increased by .3% in it's 2nd weekend. That's not something that happens very often, especially on movies that open over 42 mil.

Yup. Shrek 1 and Shrek 2 put on a show for us lol.
  3. Yep. Shrek 2. You're right.

EDIT: I could have sworn some tried to spin its opening as a disappointment on first arrival before its insane legs that summer. Anyone else?

How could someone spin a 108 OW for an animated movie that opened on a Wednesday into a negative? Must have been Pixar fanboy.
  4. Less than 200....about 185-195.

Interesting. I think it will finish around 225-230 million only because it has the July 4th weekend. All I know is that it better make as much as it can before it gets destroyed by Batman.
  5. Wrath's number is a good lesson for The Amzaing Spiderman. A poor movie will affect the next one. TASM will be no different. As for THG, i think it will go like this:1925.51761.5 60% drop

    What is your Spider-man prediction?
  6. The Hunger Games (March 23): Based on Suzanne Collins's incredibly popular young adult book series, The Hunger Games aims to be the next Twilight, albeit with enough violence to have crossover appeal with young men. Distributor Lionsgate Entertainment actually already has sequel Catching Fire on the calendar for Nov. 22, 2013, though if the first entry tanks, the sequel can easily be cancelled. At this point, if The Hunger Games reaches the original Twilight's $192.8 millon it should be considered a massive success.

Box Office Mojo at the start of the year... What a breakout hit

Did that in its opening week. Simply amazing.
