Has anyone heard of the movie theater techonolgy "BIG D"???

I was surfing the internet, seeing what I could do in Myrtle Beach next week and found out the Imax on The Broadway on the Beach closed up and then was bought my the local Carmike theater. Carmike is installing a techonolgy called "BIG D" and I was wondering has anyone ever heard of this product? I might try it out but their playing Total Recall and not Batman.
