Is this the Brian De Palma one? Isn't it from 2012?

 

If we mean that film then it's one of my biggest disappointments in years since i'm a big De Palma fan. Sure he hasn't had a good film in years but even in his lesser efforts you could see some classic De Palma themes ans strokes of brilliance. But this film is really bad in a Direct-To-Dvd way. Bad performances, weak writing, awful dialog and no atmosphere what so ever. At times i thoguht it was a comedy.

I hope De Palma still has a couple of good movies in him. He can only go up from here.

Yeah, it's supposed to be 2012.

 

I had mixed feelings on this one. There some fine moments but they are drowned out by silly scenes as well as scenes that don't make sense and/or only exist to mislead the audience. Still, I love Rachel McAdams and like seeing her do something other than romantic dramas but this was a misfire.
