where is the iron man 3 number

Yeah I only watch around 2-3films a month (not including January-April, I barely watch any films than). The last film I watched more than once in theatres was The Help. I didn't pay for it the second time.
-
It is still an estimate. How the fuck we get an actual at 10AM EST?
Da fuq?
Didn't the twitter thing say it was official?
-
Yeah but it's about 7M more than what GL grossed.
Had Sunday stayed at 32M, it would be a 60% drop.
Original Sunday projection was 32.7 not 32

Are you guys all super rich. How do you see a movie 3 or 4 times that you don't even like?

I'm kind of jealous of the future generations. A hundred or two hundred years from now, people are going to look back at us and be stunned beyond belief at how so much of humanity believed in religion. I'm glad that with the digital age, religion has been questioned and scrutinized so much (especially with the younger generation). It'll only get better.
wth. Why is this being posted on a boxoffice forum?

I can't see less than 60% given the huge day on Sunday ... but stranger things have happened.
if only we could have a TDK monday $ situation ... Tuesday, July 22, 2008 was a glorious day ... under 44% drop and 24+ million Mother of God moment for that film.
Oh well, can't wait to track this over the next couple weeks.
TDK drop I think is impossible. A lot of schools in the east coast are still in session. In July no school are in session.

I feel like WW would be more of an event because she hasnt had her own movie and of all the superheroes, people have been probably been clamorong for hers the most and once WB announces it, outlets will run stories like weed was just legalized in Alabama and itll get peoples, especially females interest. i could see WW having a niceee OW and finishing higher than Cap, Aquaman, and Thor. She just needs the same marketing MOS recieved.
This. WB should stop being stupid and make a WW film. Catwoman and Elektra flopped because they aren't famous and they sucked not because people don't like female superheroes.

You're not seriously trying to explain this to me like I'm a newbie, are you?
The money should count because regardless of who bought the tickets, the tickets were sold. 7pms have counted with other films this summer, and they should count towards MOS.
Well WB could choose to count them and they are not, so what's the big deal.

I don't agree with this one bit. All of these films on this list (sorry, most of these films) benefited from midnights. Midnights are basically gone now because of Aurora. So that 21 mill it made on Thurs should count or else none of these films can say that they can count their midnights either. So MOS did 128 mill for OW.
9 million is the midnight and is included in that number. 12 million is the Walmart tickets. They did include the midnight. The 12 million were tickets that WB sold to Walmart and were bought ahead of time. All of those films did not have that advantage?

It works best for Superman's origin story.
No other JL character story resonates as much on Father's Day.
If Mother's Day wasn't the weekend after Avengers 2 it would be perfect for Wonder Woman.
yeah that would have been perfect. Too bad.

I think Bayformers 1 actually has a plot and character development, they're just rice paper thin.
So while I despise the Bayformer franchise overall I must acknowledge that small distinction because it makes the difference between a watchable guilty pleasure (TF1) and an unwatchable waste (TF sequels).
Yeah I can understand why Transformers 1 is well liked although I hate it. They at least tried for that film.
-
The problem with the Transformers series was never the mindless action. It was the stupid comedy, the overload on comic relief characters, and Shia LaBeouf.
Mmm Mindless action was a problem. I remewber watching Transformers 3 with my brother. There were like explosions all over the place for no reason. It made my head hurt.
-
Bayformers 1 was also complete and utter garbage.
LOL I agree .But a lot of people like it here. And the general audience seemed to like enough to make the god-awful sequel ride to 400 millin. So, whatever.

The action in TA was good (especially considering it was only Whedon's second feature film) but the humour and character interaction was what pushed it to the next level. Bigger is not always better. That's why I don't want TA2 to try and outdo the action in the first film or MOS just for the sake of it. Making you care about the action is far more important.
Yeah that was one of my big problems with MOS. I'm not a crazy action person. I want to care about the characters and stuff which MOs didn't make me do.

Well I'm going to bed. This thread better be at 250 when I wake up.

If does do 35M+ Sunday. That Monday drop could reach 70%.
Pessimist?
I want my Wonder Woman movie so bad
yeah me too. People keep on saying she won't work but i believe in her! We need a strong, awesome female superhero!

Although I didn't love MOS, I'm glad it's doing well. Hopefully this means that DC will feel more confident with their other characters and a Justice League film. Also i hope they learn from the mistakes of MOS to make an amazing MOS2!
