Woops, guess I should have said release month. And apparently the article I read was projecting 1 billion for the 3 movies, but it seems like that was just pulled out of their ass. Carry on.

Finally, an actual release date. That projected budget number is astounding considering it is being shot back to back ala LOTR/POTC/Matrix which is supposed to make it cheaper overall. What is that, basically like 400-450 million per movie if they were shot stand-alone? My mind is exploding at what JC can do with that much money and freedom.

How did the Friday numbers thread become about Interstellar and Mockingjay? How long was I asleep? What year is this? Did I fall through a wormhole?

Shouldn't Rope be in this discussion about long takes? I haven't seen it yet, but it is Hitchcock.

I almost wish I wasn't aware of how long the opening take is. Children of Men amazed me when I first saw it and then a friend mentioned the tracking shots for my favorite scenes so I went back and really noticed it and was doubly stunned.

Well I only saw it multiple times due to the 3D, not because I loved the 3D, but because I wasn't that impressed by it even though people around me were raving about it. So I ended up seeing it in Imax 3D and Real3D to try to see what the big deal was and came to the conclusion that I must not see 3D that well.
