The shooting was the BIGGEST reason.

TDKR is still heading for 1B WW.Which is awesome.

It caused an effect on OW. Thus, already damaging the film's total gross. The movie is doing GOOD. It's just not on par with TDK. It was never going to reach The Avengers because of the lack of 3D, film length, and not kid friendly movie.

So when The Avengers 2 comes out, it will also be frontloaded. Perhaps a 215M OW record. So total gross will be $500-$550 instead of 616M?

You would think people would stop hating on the film. The incident has already done it's damage to the gross. TDKR is trying to recover.TDKR currently stands in the #43 of ALL TIME at the moment.

We expected it to be 2nd fastest. The box office changed 2 weeks ago.

The Dark Knight Rises will gross $300M Today. It will do it in 12 days which is the 3rd fastest to do so.

Hopefully we can get that increase or for it to stay at 8M tomorrow.
