At the rate things are going, this thing may not come out until 2025. . . or never

I want the next Taken to be a crossover with John Wicke
Just call it Mills and Wicke: Dawn of Asskicking. . .

And once again, a Taken movie has taken the box office.

A featurette was released. It at least doesn't make me want to gauge my eyes out like the actual trailer did. . . but just by a smidge.

So Batman, Loki and J Jonah Jameson team up to take on King Kong? I like this movie already!

I doubt The Interview will destroy the way the world looks at movie distribution. Maybe if Disney did this with Star Wars: The Force Awakens or Avengers: Age of Ultron, but there's no way in hell they'll do that.
Sony pretty much dumped this movie.

I could only just imagine how goddamn crazy it would have been if instead of Kim, The Interview was about trying to kill Castro after all that's been happening recently.

When are the silly comments about how this VOD move is going to affect theaters going to pop up?
Still, this is an absolute shock
-
Yes. This was clearly not Sony's marketing plan.
Sony told the theaters they could cancel. Major chains cancel. Sony says the film will not see the light of the day. POTUS goes on air and pretty much shits on Sony. Sony claims they were planning on releasing the film all along but the major chains cancelling caused them to cancel the film (notice Sony actually lies here since Sony wanted the chains to cancel in the first place). Demand grows. The indie theaters create a petition and boom.
No, Sony was trying their best to bury this film and not have it released to theaters at all.
And now the Facebook pages of Regal Cinemas and etc are filled with comments like "Release The Interview" or some other first world problems shit like that.
Really the movie is most likely how many times Seth Rogen and James Franco make jokes about Kim's dick size or something, not Zero Dark Thirty or something like that.

This makes zero sense. What idiot would put together a massive, international government involving (and surely illegal if true) marketing campaign like this, only to lose most of their theaters, not have a wide release, and make less money than they would having this go wide and bomb?
Like...really? This makes sense to you? Even if somehow it goes wide, how could anyone plan this out?
A colossal dumbass. . .
But yeah, this conspiracy theory stuff is just silly.
-
I really wouldn't be surprised if within the next week or so that major chains start showing the film as well.

All I know is that the Blu-Ray for this goddamn movie better be full of special features on all that has happened on its way to release.

Most crappy horror movies don't have good legs
Heh, I mean it in jest.

Sony might be releasing it after all, but take this article with a grain of salt.

Why the great legs?
Teens like their crappy horror movies.

They waited too long to make the third and Battle of The Smithonsian was not that well received. A drop was expected.
Critically, both Night at the Museum 1-2 have a 44% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Which makes Night at the Museum 3 with it's 49% the best reviewed of the films so far, funny enough.

Chris Pratt would have totally fit Nathan's character.

Yes, yes. . . I must have my biyearly fix of vehicular mayhem, explosions, and bombastic CGI effects.
These really are like crack to me.
-
This seems to have more promise than a normal Adam Sandler movie. The last film I enjoyed that he was involved in was Hotel Transylvania. . . .but that was a voice acting job.
-
Please let Night at the Museum beat Annie this week. I was never a huge fan of Annie to begin with and I don't really want to see an Annie 2 advertised two years from now.

I'm glad American Sniper is doing so well.
I'm actually surprised that Selma isn't doing too hot, particularly this weekend.
