  1. so Brave will be the no.1 animated movie of 2012..expected but a sigh of relief for us pixar fans after the debacle named cars2(god i hate mater)

Rise of the Guardians and Wreck it Ralph still to come. I wouldn't crown Brave just yet.

  2. Two reputable sources have reported it, one with some very specific information. I think Stanton's just being coy. Notice how he says "don't believe everything you read"?

He may not even be talking about Nemo, for all we know. Someone asked Brenda Chapman about it and she just said no comment.

Yeah, "don't believe everything you read because we shouldn't have leaked it this early so please stop talking about it."

Is Chapman still there? Could have sworn she'd be gone by now.

  3. Well I guess it's better than some random director taking the reins of FN2. And at least Pixar's in the midst of an originals streak. I'm more worried that Unkrich's movie gets newtered since Guillermo del Toro is also releasing a movie about Dia de Los muertos before Unkrich releases his.

  4. Oh!I thought Liam would be the hostage with his wife. But Finding Nemo 2 BEFORE The Incredibles2?Isn't something wrong?

Probably due to the different situations between the directors.Brad Bird is obviously set up to have a pretty successful live action career.Andrew Stanton bombed and needs a surefire hit his next time out. No matter how much I hate it, FN2 is likely going to make a ton of money.
  5. Good for Paramount. Stainton sucked and has no business running another animation studio. Dude singlehandedly destroyed Disney animation until the Pixar merger.Paramount should have just bought DWA. I thought that would have made the most sense, let Katzenberg be their Lasseter.

  6. Pissed off at America for this. This should have done at least 270M.

I am disappointed too, but I remember how animation performed so crappily last year so that changes my perspective a bit.

And no matter what happens, the fact that Brave was able to gross more (at least domestically) against established franchises tells me that Pixar is still a trusted studio.

  7. Sony has to pay Disney a licensing fee every year and make a movie every X number of years ( we don't know the exact time period but believe it is about 5 years) in order to keep the film rights. If Sony pays keeps paying the licensing fee and keeps making the Spider-Man movies, then they keep the film rights. If Sony fails to do one of the aofrementioned, then Disney gets the Spider-Man film rights back.I actually agree with you about wanting TASM to fail so Disney would get the Spidey rights back. I never thought it would happen, but that was my dream. A poster called my opinion idiotic for wanting that to happen.

Yeah, it's not so much Disney getting the rights back for me (though that would be nice as I'm looking forward to finally having Spidey used in other Marvel movies, like maybe the Avengers or X-Men); it's more I don't want Sony to overexpose Spidey just so they can keep the rights. It's overkill.
