Fixed that for you so that it does not include films that nobody needs know ever existed.
haha I'm inclined to agree. D-war was a terrible film that only got saved by playing the patriotism card. I hope no-one here has the misfortune of watching it.

I bet Godzilla makes more than 3 times as much in China than in Japan.
Why should Japanese watch their cultural heritage in a Hollywood movie?
Sound Of Music is practically unknown in Austria for instance.
Really? That's surprising. I thought Sound of Music was a great film

Great hold for DoFP. Most movies fall from saturday to sunday in korea but DoFP dropped just 3%. It records the 6th biggest OW ever. If the legs are at all decent there's a great chance it reaches 4 million admissions.

Days of future past cume: $9.35 million
Days of future Past took in $4.76 million on Saturday and it has already surpassed X-men, and the two wolverine films after just 3 days of release. It looks set to beat KFP2's OW record as a minimum and it's likely to better Secretly, greatly OW to rank as 6th biggest OW of all time.

If it's similar in quality to WiR then $350million OS. Europe will do roughly the same, slightly higher than WiR in Latin America and Asia. If it breaks out in key markets it could go beyond.

Over for OS. $1 billion worldwide

The movie felt a bit long and the ending was weird. So they brought everyone who died in the old series back to life? OK fine, but really unnecessary. Basically they're saying the events that happened in the other x-men films only exists in Logan's head now right? Also, I thought Charles Xavier was killed in the last stand, how is he alive in the future scenes?
I was also hoping Magneto would finally see some redemption but no such luck, basically he ended up doing what he always did playing the short-sighted fool that he himself admits he was in the future scenes.
The technology for the sentinels was baffling too, how did the DNA of a organic shape-shifting mutant allow the synthetic sentinels to adapt to any situation again?
Okay nitpicking aside I really enjoyed this film, probably more than I did first class which was my favourite x-men film up to this point. The tone was darker which isn't a bad thing, and the characters had an added depth to them. Charles Xavier's path from a self pitying drug addict to somebody who accepts his powers and responsibility to use them for good was one of the highlights of the film. He summed it up perfectly when he said "Just because someone stumbles and loses their way doesn't mean they are lost forever". This is perfect because he is also including himself when he says this and because he can forgive himself, he can forgive the people around him too, and we see a glimpse of the Charles Xavier he would one day become. I loved Maximoff's character too, he has amazing talents
overall I give this film an A. I only saw so much to nitpick because I enjoyed it so much. It did little to lessen my enjoyment of the film

Finally got to see X-men: Days of Future past today. I was surprised by how dark the film was in tone (especially in the future scenes) but I felt it added an extra layer of complexity to the characters which I thought was great. Loved maximoff, great cast
I think I'll have to see it again because it's one of those films that require it to properly process it. The running time felt a bit long to be truthful I'll have to see if that bothers me as much next time round. Hope this does well worldwide

China Box Office Thread | Deadpool & Wolverine- July 26
in China At The Box Office

I heard there were mixed reactions in China to the amount of screen time Fan Bingbing got. Apparently she only got one line too, "Time's up" which is a shame
she had the coolest skillset
