2. Live-Action CGI Lion Reboot - $1.253b
3. Frozen Sequel No One Asked For - $1.148b
4. Cpt. Carol Danvers - $1.036b
5. Jimanju the Third - $1.034b
6. Spider-Man and the European Adventures - $935m
7. Baldmen Martial Artists of the Furious - $889m
8. Wonderful 1984 Warwoman - $871m
9. Craig’s Last Outing as 007 Spy - $867m

It’s more interesting to predict WW than DOM IMO.
You think IX will make less than $844 worldwide?

I've only seen the first MI and parts of the second one when I was really young, so I have a lot to catch up on. Is this series worth a marathon?

Will 2018 end up having 3 600M+ superhero films domestically?

Funny how DC was the one that had that happen to them.

But they don't really need it. Being gay is unnatural, it had no business being represented in a children's movie
Maybe from a purely evolutionary perspective, but that doesn't make it immoral.
As for children's movies, this topic can go both ways. While issues of sexuality and gender can be heavy topics for kids to understand, I don't think slight nods to them are particularly bad, as it can make kids more aware that different identities exist. As long as it's done in a clean, G/PG-rated way, I think it would be fine. But parents, especially most religious ones, would absolutely flip their shit at any hint of LGBT content in a kids movie, so major studios aren't going to touch this topic with a ten foot pole any time in the near future.

Just found out this is 125 minutes. Wow the longest animated movie?
I'm kind of glad they extended this one out a bit. I always felt the usual 90 minute runtime was way too short for these animated flicks.

Since Cap 3 had half the avengers cast and Ragnarok had Hulk in it, I think GOTG3 should have Thor as a secondary character since they had such good charisma in IW.

Then you would know that Gaga hit the Top 10 with “Applause” and “Dope” in year 6 of her career, meaning she’s had three in the back half
"Dope" wasn't an actual hit. It hit #8 because of a new technicality that Billboard introduced that year which counted video streams towards a song's chart position. Gaga performed that song at the Youtube awards, and scored a "hit" simply because the entire three hour event was watched by four million people, and four minutes of it was that song. It completely dropped off the Hot 100 the following week.

That's a nice flashback to the past for me. I remember seeing Iron Man opening weekend, and then seeing Made of Honor the following week with my mother and her friends. That entire summer was amazing for movies, as I saw almost every major blockbuster in that time frame (IM, Narnia 2, Indy 4, Kung Fu Panda, Incredible Hulk, Wall E, Hancock, TDK, Mummy 3, etc).

She’s not been to the U.K. since Stripped and I missed it lol
Damn, that sucks. Although, according to her Wiki page, she played five shows in the UK in '06 on the Back To Basics tour.

She needs to do a european tour. Also needs a hit.
Wasn't her last tour over a decade ago?

Legit impossible. The Saturday record is 69M.
Which adjusts to around 78M. Still difficult for it to do, but it's within reach if WOM keeps up.

Who else thinks something out of left field like a 85M-90M could happen at this point? Especially since it's taking a while for any early numbers to leak.

I wouldn't say that people hate Gaga. More like she's nowhere near as marketable as she was at her peak in 2011.
-
I have a feeling this will get a lot of paid press and awards, simply because of Gaga's presence.

Why not just have this tie into the eventual reboot? Seems like a complete waste to just release this and have that be it.

I buy mostly digital these days (iTunes, Steam, Blu Rays with digital download codes), but console games are still something I buy in physical format due to large file size and the paltry amount of HDD space the consoles come with, the Switch being the biggest offender.

Looks like #MeToo is making everyone in Hollywood afraid of showing any sort of sexual or physical contact, as if they don't understand the difference between consensual adults filming a sex scene and actual abuse.
That being said, A Star is Stillborn was likely pushed back because it was going to get clobbered in it's May slot, and was given the 'awards' excuse for moving it to October.

I can't wait to see IW's numbers.

I think we're entering a box office lull that will be around the rest of the year. 2018 pretty much blew it's load completely with massive blockbusters all crammed in the first half, and now the second half looks to be fairly dull in comparison.
