Yes. But, it's more like a sequel. They made a brazillian remake in 2012, and because of the huge success on TV, they decide to make this movie.

I'm curious to know what they were estimating.
Because the persons from the studios never would admit a 'weak' opening
But I don't get this weak performance too, it opened in #3. :/
The ranking is not the problem. it didn't beat Minions and Terminator Genesys because they're in 3D. The opening in itself is the problem. Maybe the low numbers of screens compared to the other two really hurt it.

Well, bad quality doesn't help, the movie is so beautiful in a cinema, you just can't judge it with that, that would be totally unfair...
I'm not judging, I'll wait for the DVD.
