OMG Sabrina you're back 🙂 I'm fine, thank you. As you can see I still take care of that thread 😀
Long time no see, welcome back 👍
I understand your pain, it was really not professional to show this movie to you in such a terrible way.
Watching it on Blu-Ray is a good idea 🙂
Honestly, you should be payed.
Thanks.
It is.
Have you seen a lot of movies this year?

Hey, fullbuster! How are you?
So, I saw Spider Man: Homecoming on Thursday 6th, in the first session of the day, so I'm one of those 470.000 people. I'll never do that again. It was a horrible experience. No only because it had a huge line to get in. But because the movie theater had a low sound, and the movie image was cut to fit the screen (is it normal?). I never cared about watching dubbed movies, but I deeply regretted not having taken a subtitled session. I can't wait for the movie to come out on Blu-ray to watch it again in a comfortable way.- 2

I don't think the movie's hype is only because of the Church. The tv show did get much higer ratings than expected, there is a lot of awereness for this movie, but only from the TV show fans, I guess.
THIS.
I'm watching the movie, and I'm not from church, I just loved the TV show.
Also, there was a survey a while back saying that only 20% or 30% of the soap opera audience were religious.
And I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. My mother is a religious, yet she doesn't watch the TV show because she don't like the changes they make from the bible.

JESUS CHRIST, Os Dez Mandamentos already sold 400k tickets:
cinepop.com.br/recorde-os-dez-mandamentos-ja-vendeu-400-mil-ingressos-antes-de-estrear-110399
what was the old record? SW with 500k? It will be destroyed
ODM already beat Star Wars pre-sales.
Os Dez Mandamentos: 400k
Star Wars: The Force Awakens: 300k
The record belongs to Twilight: BD2 with 645k.

I VERY happy for "Os Dez Mandamentos" selling 400.000 tickets in only 6 days. I hope it breaks BD2 record.
But I'm also sad because it means that I can't see it on opening weekend. I'll have to wait for it's second weekend or even third.

JESUS CHRIST guys, look the size of the lines to buy tickets to the PRE RELEASE of the local blockbuster: Os Dez Mandamentos
I never saw something like this, it will be released at the end of month and already sold 20 tickets per minute, the OW record is going down
I saw the entire thing on TV, and loved it. I'm defenitely watching the movie.
I know my father will like the Red Sea scene.

That´s not the OD record... did box office say that?
Breaking dawn, for example, did more than R$11M (at about $5.5M)
Avengers did $3.4M , Potter did $4.4..
He's right @Fullbuster.
On Filme B it says: "O número posiciona o filme à frente do top do ano, Velozes e furiosos 7 (Universal), que conquistou R$ 8,4 milhões na quinta de largada."
In local currency, It's the biggest OD of the year not "all time".
-
Star Wars: The Force Awakens sold 560.000 admissions and earned R$9,5m on it's first day. (FilmeB)

Full => big cities
Empty => small towns
The hype came from abroad so I guess it mostly had an effect in the most globalized areas.
Let's just not to create high expectations. You may be disappointed.

There's some people saying that SW is sold out until Tuesday, so they can't buy tickets for this weekend.
But, then, there's others saying that SW sessions are empty.

how come MJ2 made more money locally but less USD?
Exchange rates are stronger for MJ2 than they were for Cinderella back there.
