  3. https://deadline.com/2022/11/box-office-black-panther-wakanda-forever-1235169891/ Surprised at the Black Adam hold. Should still be playing at most multiplexes well until Avatar.

Could change with actuals of course, but I would think Uni expected more with Spielberg's name and stuff. Maybe opening it the same weekend as Black Panther was a problem?
  5. I know this isn't the first time the boards has argued this, but I'm kind of coming around to the idea that this may be the peak for opening weekends a la the M*A*S*H* finale/Thriller tbh. At the very least for like 10 more years. Combo of moviegoing attendance on the consistent decline and just what feels possible is starting to shrink. Even the closest candidates like a new Potter or one of the Avatar sequels feel kinda shaky.
  6. I mean my mom is a very lovely and wonderful person, so I would hope that is the case.
  7. The people are finally embracing the idea of gay crocodiles in movies. Pixar and Billy Eichner really were trailblazers after all
  8. I mean I would hope you prefer your mom to a movie. That would be very confusing and bad priorities.
  9. Also from Deadline What the heck is with this Black Adam discrepancy? You really couldn't pick a smaller range?

  13. What’s even more impressive was that he was set to retire after I think Killing Joke, but then returned because he was just that good. I believe he just voiced him in that MultiVersus game
  14. This is one of the strongest pieces of DC media I have ever read. Any Conroy fans need to read this
  15. Well MOM had the Spider-Man coattails and was pushed as a major event piece. As for Wakanda Forever, expectations are different because it's a sequel to a monster smash. Black Panther isn't really something I think we should compare to the other MCU origin films and more like a Jurassic World or Sorcerer's Stone, where the first movie overperformed like crazy and the sequel is moving back down to Earth.
  16. Avatar's the last hope for a 100 page weekend. It probably will, because there will be enough petty arguments to take it there, but if not, we're never getting it again lol. Oh well, at least it makes things easier to read.
