  1. His mom has English, German, and Scottish roots, and his dad is Black. Vin never met his biological dad, but reportedly he was told his parents could have been arrested due to miscegenation laws in certain states.
  2. There's more to the story. Back in 2016, somebody discovered this review for The Legend of Tarzan from a wine mom and it is...incredible. https://www.emilywrites.co.nz/i-saw-tarzan-and-this-is-my-review-after-some-wines/
  3. That is correct. https://www.motionpictures.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/MPA-THEME-2019.pdf Hispanics/Latinos make up 18% of the US population, yet represent 21% of moviegoers and 25% of all tickets sold. Crazy to think that as Hollywood emphasizes diverse castings in their projects that there's not much in terms of Latino-led blockbusters. You have Coco, Encanto, In the Heights, the Dora movie, some Eugenio Derbez titles, the upcoming Blue Beetle...and I think that's it. Obviously the diaspora of representation is very complex, as each nation has their own cultures and values, but it's still weird.
  4. Thor: Ragnarok contains the most baddies. Like it's impossible for me to follow or pay attention to the plot, when Hemsy/Hiddleston/Blanchett/Thompson/Ruffalo/Goldblum are looking the sexiest they've ever been. I just drool on impact. Taika makes his Thor movies for the Bis and I love him for it!
  5. Somebody finding a character attractive is a spoiler? Guess I need to ban myself from all the Timothee threads
  6. Moderation @ImNotRacistAtAll We're not doing this tonight. Or any night. Quit while you're ahead.
  7. They're just starting drama and getting a reaction from Twitter users. Which like...that's what they got.
  8. I literally had no idea the trailer for this was a thing until today, and this dropped...yesterday. Yikes.
  9. I'm super biased, because Strange is probably my favorite MCU character (him and Thor flipflop for me personally all the time), but I do think there's more to Strange than what you're saying. He has a lot of that Tony cynicism, and while he's not as "I wanna be him", people like a snarky, sarcastic character. Plus within almost all the movies he's in, there's a lot of cool, flashy powers that makes his moments super memorable and fun and makes kids want to buy the action figures. I also kinda disagree with it being hard to rank popularity, especially since Thor and Guardians are probably on the way out. At the very least, Holland's Spider-Man is a clear #1. Twitter loves to argue about how MCU Spider-Man is a sham to the original character, and I don't really care for the Iron Man apprentice stuff either, but just from my interactions with both MCU diehards and casuals, Holland has left a strong impression. Plus ya know...he's Spider-Man. I do agree it is kind of hard to pinpoint down a definitive ranking though, since a lot of the newbies are either wet behind the ears or haven't left an instant impression like the Guardians or Black Panther did, which is a little concerning. Maybe Sam Wilson's Cap will become a big deal (at least I'm hoping), but we are missing that iconic trio that the Infinity Saga had that gets people hyped/easier to sell toys. The plan for the new trio was probably Spider-Man/Strange/T'Challa, but obviously that's not happening. And the closest to a third member is...Captain Marvel? The guy they'll get for Wolverine? Deadpool, even though he'll probably be in his own little corner? It's definitely not as concise as it was a few years ago.
