We should not outlaw Ghostbusters cartoons. The Real Ghostbusters was rad as hell (at least prior to the Dave Coulier seasons), and it’s weird the franchise stopped doing cartoons. Did Extreme Ghostbusters just do that badly in the ratings?

I'll never forget seeing the first Dune, and there were a bunch of teenagers behind me who were clearly there for Zendaya and then got all bitter when she was only in the movie for 15 minutes. I hope they still stuck around to see Part Two.

They've generally been trending for an opening under Afterlife. And nowadays, the vibes from the Tracking Team is around 35M or so. Which makes sense. Law of average typically means there's got to be one underperformer in sea of overperformers, and Ghostbusters has the least going for it out of all the big March movies.

This is also a very strong second Friday for Panda. Its 101% jump from Thursday is well ahead of Dragon 3 on the exact same date (+77%), and following the rest of Dragon 3's run from the Deadline weekend projection gives it 180M. Still up in the air, but 200M+ is still possible considering how barren the next few months are, especially for animated movies.

It's nice we now have three weekends in a row where the #1 movie gets above 30M. The next two weekends are also near-locked to happen unless Ghostbusters sales drop like a rock or something. We'll see how long April continues the streak, because we could see GxK getting a 30M+ second weekend and/or Monkey Man reaching 30M+
