Cats was a creation made by clueless executives trying to appeal to furries, without actually knowing what they like or are into. It's basically the Crash of the furry community (before you ask, Zootopia was basically Black Panther before Black Panther. The movie even has a black panther in it!) -

Sonic got about 11 tickets at literally the exact point in time (20 days before release, second day I was tracking pre-sales, though Sonic was out a bit longer). Sonic went low for the next couple days, before gradually increasing, so we'll see how this fares in the future. -

In a strange way, the original Muppet Babies is one of the most prophetic shows out here. A Muppet series produced by Marvel Productions, and even featured clips footage from Star Wars. It's like Jim Henson knew what would happen after he dies. -

They changed Magilla Gorilla on that show to Magilla Ice. I hope whoever made that decision is sorry for what they have done. -

Something to add about how high I'm predicting for The Batman (still on that train) is that the more I think about it, its timing is kind of perfect. The MCU's obviously still gonna be big, and people are going to still be excited for Papa Feige's new children. But I think there's definitely going to be a large amount of people excited for something new and fresh, especially since there might be a decent amount of people moving on after Endgame (though not all). And while Batman's obviously been done before, I think going into the noir stuff, and pushing away from any multiverse, it's-all-connected nonsense will help it stand out among what is basically a Marvel summer.

Onward Greater Philadelphia Area Seat Report T-21 and Counting Sellouts Showings Seats Sold Total Seats Perct Sold TOTALS 0 40 30 8,427 0.36% Comp 0.309x of Maleficent (711K) 1.034x of Dolittle (957K) Onward will be an interesting film to track, if only because it doesn't have the same benefits of other family properties, at least this far out. Aside from the Pixar brand, this is completely original, so it's very hard to pin down what the movie will do this far out. Also not helping are the preview screenings happening on the 29th. But as for today...it's okay. There's a decent amount of theaters with no tickets sold, but again, I think it's excusable for now. We'll see how the next couple weeks unfold. -

tbh, Sonic made me realize James Marsden's kind of sexy. I'm also hyped for The Photograph bc Lakeith and Issa are both drop-dead gorgeous. -

To be fair, Pokemon's been frontloaded in the past. The First Movie's first 5 days made up almost 60% of its final total, while Pokemon 2000 did about 2.23x from its OW, which is still frontloaded even today. Really, Pokemon's just a fan-driven property.
