Yeah, I finished up Pottersville instead. That's a film much more suited to my tastes.
SpoilerSo you’re saying you’re a furry?

I got the Peter Rabbit trailer before three movies over the holidays (Greatest Showman, Jumanji, Pitch Perfect) and it had the audience at each of them in stitches somehow. So yeah, big numbers incoming.

I still remember when I got the trailer at TGS last month, the generations were totally divided: teens liked it while seniors hated it
Judging by your crowd, the seniors are gonna turn Peter Rabbit and No Ship, Sherlock into $300M grossers. Mankini, his powah!

I am really confused right now
For the record, the first 30 minutes are at its most craziness...until one scene towards the end. You'll know what it is.

Honestly, that design could have worked in a cheesy horror B-Movie. Maybe that's what the team should have tried to make.

I had the weirdest dream last night. I dreamed that after Paddington 2's opening day, Warner Bros. pulled it from release, and everyone here was losing their minds. But it felt so realistic that when I got up, I was confused on whether that actually did happen or not...I need to get out of this dump sometimes.

Maze Runner 15 1582 0.95% Fifty Shades 271 1921 14.11% Black Panther 993 2176 45.63% Maze Runner just got tickets sold today, but almost everything is from the Thursday 7 PM show
Black Panther of course saw a big increase, and Shades is still chugging along.

Porg: The Movie
January 12, 7:00 PM, 20% full
Trailers:
Annihilation (Some teenage girls in the front were talking to themselves during the trailer. That wasn't fun)
JurassIIc World (Same teenage girls continued to talk nonsense during the first half, but when the volcano shiz happened, it went back to silent. I think there were one or two murmurs)
Alita: Battle Angel (dead silent)
A Wrinkle in Time (Laughs at Galifianakis)
Avengers: Infinity War (Noticeable chatter and talks)
Laughs at expected parts, people seemed to like it as they went out.
SpoilerThe part when Holdo ran the ship through the First Order's ship, and the whole movie went silent, some douche said out loud "Why didn't you do that before?" Totally killed the vibe. T_T I think he made a few other snide comments towards the end, which wasn't fun. Movie's still great though.

Praying for nighttime shows to bring Paddington up to 4M. Would be nice if Commuter could reach that mark also.
If P2 does end up faring pretty poorly however, I think it sets up the marketplace for Peter Rabbit to pull off 100M next month. And I'm not just saying that because I have to dress up in a rabbit costume and take pictures with kids for work... If I've got to do that the movie better give me some sweet numbers
Three $100M+ grossers for Daisy Ridley. A true Queen!

Queen's going from Star Wars to Oscar Wars. Sundance better give her some raves!

Actually Paddington should have move to Peter Rabbit's spot and PR to late March where it would actually lineup with Easter.
I think Peter Rabbit was supposed to come out in late March. Now that you mention it, I'm now extremely confused by the date change.

For all the talk recently about A Wrinkle in Time being a potential bomb, I think it'll end up faring just fine when it opens in March as being the first major family film of the year. The Disney brand + starpower of Oprah and Reese will probably go a long way.

Now I'm thinking Paddington should have moved to April. Would have had a pretty open family market and time for a proper campaign.
I don't know man. This looks like stiff competition:

Den of Thieves' run time is long without credits! Phantom Thread must have short credits as the actual runtime is 130 minutes.
Sorry, it's actually 2:04. I misread.
-
Next week's runtimes w/out credits/trailers:
Phantom Thread: 2:04 (Attachments: 7 Days in Entebbe, Tully)
Forever My Girl: 1:40 (Attachcments: The Miracle Season, I Can Only Imagine)
Den of Thieves: 2:13 (Attachment: Gringo)
12 Strong: 2:03 (Attachments unknown. My predictions are 15:17 to Paris and Game Night)

Actually, thatnumber for Paddington seems encouraging, consideringthe first did 175k previews
But it was three years ago, when previews weren't as common or widespread as they are now.

Paddington 2: $325K
Just under Ferdinand's $350K

I almost think TLJ's performance is impossible to judge, as to whether disappointment or not, at the moment.
That said, is Justice league a failure or a disappointment?
...just wait a little bit.
