it's a Jim Henson film. Hard to describe, but the characters are puppets, but they aren't the muppets. It's based on a book/stoy and was released in 1979 on HBO. It's a nice family and old fashioned home style type show. I think it's pretty decent without giving spoilers away
Fun fact: Emmet Otter was the influence for the name of Emmitt Otterton in Zootopia. @cannastop@Jason

Winner of Best Film from the NBR, and Best Actor with Casey Affleck.
The family's decided to watch this movie for our annual Christmas Day trip to the movie theater, and these wins are getting me more and more hyped to see it.

I fully expect Focus to give Nocturnal Animals a wide push due to the drought, even though it's almost certain to flop if it does.
Deadline says Focus will expand Animals on December 9.

I just realized that Sony is releasing an animated spider-man movie on the same weekend. Fox is stupid.
Avatar 2 will crush the animated Spider-Man movie. Honestly, they both will probably coexist.

EDGE OF SEVENTEEN - Will any of you go out and see this movie? It's phenomenal, and already the year's most underrated.
I saw an advance screening, and I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to take my sisters to it on Saturday.

I would've been more interested in this movie if it was directed by Peter Jackson, but the premise is interesting enough, and I'm sure I'll like it.
But I guess this means the Han Solo movie will stay on the Memorial Day release date.

Anybody rooting for this?
I loved the books as a kid, and if they are able to capture the same silly, self-deprecating humor from the books, I would be happy. I'm just not sure if this will be something that audiences will turn into a big hit, especially with two big animated features coming after it, and it not being popular with the kids today...actually, are they still making new books?

Considering that Coco is the closest thing to resembling a quality animated film next year, I suspect that will work to its advantage when it opens even if it isn't about princesses

I'm shocked at how hard Fox is pushing this new "Untitled" series. 7 movies in one year will certainly cause some fatigue.

Looks like the princess movies break out and the male centric stuff flops.
Now I'm concerned for Coco.
