If frozen 2 outgrosses frozen 1, lets say 1.3-1.4 billion dollars, do you guys think we can get frozen 3? Or the franchise is done with movies?

i think frozen 2 expanded the mythology amd could pottentially lead to a third film. And if son are we waiting more than 5 years or less?

At this point I'd be VERY surprised if there were not a Frozen 3. While there won't be an official announcement for quite some time, members of the cast and creative team have expressed their love for the Frozen characters and sound genuinely interested in continuing their story and expanding the Frozen universe. Also doesn't hurt than the Frozen brand continues to bring in oodles of money for Disney.

  2. So are these good numbers so far today for F2?

Do any of them have the showstopping power of Let It Go? I'm not sure, but even if not, overall it's a stronger, more balanced selection.

I think Show Yourself competes very well with Let It Go as far as showstoppers go.

The emotional punch and animation in that sequence are top notch.

  4. Let It Go and Show Yourself are kind of tied at #1 for me, but that Show Yourself sequence in Frozen II is so amazing that I had to put it at the top of the list.

    1. Show Yourself
    2. Let It Go
    3. For The First Time In Forever
    4. For The First a Time In Forever (Reprise)
    5. Do You Want to Build A Snowman?
    6. The Next Right Thing
    7. Into The Unknown
    8. Some Things Never Change
    9. Love Is An Open Door
    10. Lost In The Woods
    11. Vuelie
    12. All Is Found
    13. When I Am Order
    14. Frozen Heart
    15. Fixer Upper
    16. Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People
    17. In Summer

Maybe Elsa with her hair down made it inevitable.

  5. I think I still need a few more viewings to decide if I like Frozen 2 as much as (or even more) than Frozen.  I've seen it twice so far, and the second time it seemed better to me - maybe because I knew what to expect. On first watch it seemed a little rushed to me, like an additional 15-20 minutes would have made it so much better.

The Show Yourself sequence is truly amazing and in context the song is so powerful. I know that Disney doesn't want to give away what would clearly be a major spoiler, but I really think if they released that sequence on YouTube like they did with Let It Go from Frozen, it could potentially generate a good deal of interest in Frozen 2.

When is this expected on Disney+?

An official date hasn't been announced. Disney only committed to release it on Disney+ within a year of the theatrical release. With that said, it will most likely be released much sooner than that - probably by June of next year.

That's a shame; seeing The Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises on that format there were two of the most technically impressive theatrical experiences I've ever had. Then again, PacSci is such an outstanding venue that I can't imagine a movie not looking mightily impressive there. (Still haven't found the time to venture over to Cinerama on any of my Seattle excursions, though.)

In an age where just about every big movie runs in IMAX, I keep forgetting that Frozen didn't get IMAX screens when it first opened (thanks to Catching Fire). It would have been impressive on a giant display, so I'm sure the sequel will look great there too.

I saw Frozen in iMAX near the end of its theatrical run.  It was very impressive and pretty emotional, even though I had already seen it twice.  I probably should have sat a little further from the screen, because it was a little overwhelming.
