I'm finally going to watch GREEN ROOM today, have you guys already watched it? Did you guys enjoy it?
I saw it a while back and i really liked it. I wouldn't call it a horror film though, more like a thriller. And it is definitely thrilling and really suspenseful. The violent scenes are brutal.
I don't think it's as good as Blue Ruin and i'm pretty sure some people will be furious with some actions and decisions from the characters but i loved the realism and some times people do stupid things when they're under pressure.
The director is huge talent IMO.

Looks very good.
I hope it won't be another Gangster Squad since Affleck knows how to make a good crime drama.

Getting very excited with those reviews but it's Villeneuve so it's not surprising. He's such a great talent.
I hope that it'll do some big numbers but i'm afraid that it won't connect with GA. I hope i'm wrong.
Still doing over ID4R would be funny and unbelievable a few months ago.

This is having a disappointing but definitely profitable run.

Great result in China.
I'd say this is looking for a 270m OS total.
Very solid numbers even though i was thinking it would reach 300m.
-
Since it's Villeneuve i'm there no matter what.
But this looks great. One of my most anticipated films this year.

With a solid China run it can hit 500m WW. Great numbers.

Great run for such a low budget film.
-
I didn't expect it to gross such low numbers OS. I know it's a reboot and all but i thought that the Ghostbusters brand name would have pushed it higher.

I didn't know or expected to have monsters there. I thought it would be more of a historical drama. And Damon looks out of place.
But it's Yimou and the visuals look great.
It'll probably be huge in China and bomb domesticaly.

I think it looks really good but i don't see it doing much.

Looks good to me and i can see it doing some big numbers.

That was a cool trailer. Looks very good. Cast is great too.
This is going to be big.

Cool new trailers. This looks fun and it'll do some great numbers.

I don't think this was as good as Anarchy but still solid enough for what it is.
It's a hugely succesful franchise and a rare one since every sequel increases from the previous one.
-
That's a great poster. Definitely grabs your attention.

Not a fan of musicals but this one looks so beautiful and Whiplash was awesome so i can't help it and be excited for it.
-
It probably won't reach the Ultimatum numbers domestically but i think it will explode OS.
Each Damon/Bourne film increased and they weren't released after the overseas market expansion. I can see it doing 450-500m WW.
-
I thought the original is decent. But the premise is very interesting and it wasn't fully explored.
Maybe this time they 'll manage to make something more out of it.
-
Looks ok. Not very funny not bad either. I like the cast.
They're going for the Daddy's Home money. I don't think it's gonna go as high but it 'll do fine. 80m or so.
-
Looks better than i expected and i love Tommy Lee Jones throwback to his Under Siege character. At least that's what i thought when i saw him there looking like that.

I dunno, seems sequels to hit movies that no one liked have been doing very badly recently.
I don't know maybe you're right. I just feel that this has a very low budget, it looks better than the first and it'll probably get better reviews (that doesn't say much of course...) so it can manage a small drop from the original.

Collet-Serra is a pretty underrated director. Even in some of his past films that didn't quite work you can easily see a filmmaker that has a style and knows what he's doing.
He's an old school genre type director who works in midlevel budget films and doesn't mind staying there and not try bigger. Until now that is.
This movie looked fun from the start and i'm glad that it's getting some solid reviews. I hope it'll find an audience.
