  1. Over here nearly all screenings on wednesday are sold out. Those are not just two or three screenings per evening, most theaters threw out their entire evening program to only show 50 Shades. Valentine's day is promising to be huge as well. If the Netherlands are to speak for the entirety of Europe, then it will be Wolf of Wall Street big in this continent.

  2. Out of the top 25.

    #5. Star Wars Episode 1

#18. Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

#20. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 2

    #22. Star Wars Episode 3

#23. LOTR: Return of the king

    #25. Passion of the Christ

None of these I will plan to ever watch. The Passion has the slightest chance. Most of what I have not seen from the top 100 are franchise installments of franchises I don't care for e.g. Harry Potter, LOTR, Star Wars, Transformers. Other movies tend to have always peaked my interest at least at some point, with some having gotten a watch and others not depending on different reasons.

  3. DWA's budgets are still high for what is an independent studio. The other studios aside from WDAS and Pixar are making their films for under $100m which mean they can still make a profit from a lower potential gross and make even an bigger profit when its a bit hit.

What are you talking about? Pixar hasn't had a production budget under 100m since the Incredibles. While WDAS hasn't had a production budget under 100m since Brother Bear's (apparant) 90m production budget. Otherwise it was since Lilo & Stitch' 80m production budget. That's all even without the huge marketing costs.
