I thought the new Vacation was funny. Sue me
While it was a slight disapointment, I don’t think it’s the train wreck people make it out to be.

Game Night proves that directors can bounce back from a not so great debut. WB/New Line Cinema clearly saw potential even though Vacation didn't turn out well to offer them another movie to direct.
Makes sense now why they wanted them for Flashpoint.

Why is Warcraft a low but Ben-Hur not?
I had honestly forgot about it.

BTW, don't mind me on this post. I'm a pretty conservative/cautious fella by nature.

Well outside of politics, that is.
Just don't want to count any chickens quite yet. Even if there ARE a lot of them pecking around.
No problem. I’m a big Tarantino fan so I enjoy the reference.

Kinda funny that in a year of such epic films, a film in February is most likely going to be the DOM champ.

That would be a decent level. But opening weekend prospects could be interesting. But I’m thinking a $15-$20 million ow and $60 million total. The budget is probably $40 million
Sounds about right. Hopefully it works as great counter programing for Black Panther.

Toby Kebbell should fire his agent. Start doing more indie/british films and improve his rep. Then down the line, he might get a role in MCU/Disney project.
This could be a new low and considering Fant4stic and Warcraft that’s not saying much.

89% so far isn’t terrible for a comedy that I expected would be in the 30-40% range. It might drop to the 60’s by Thursday. But if not then this is so far decent wom by critics and could be decent counterprogramming against Black Panther!
I’m thinking it could drop to Horrible Bosses level but for a comedy today that isn’t too bad.

Yeah, that was the minimum. Maybe $21m-$22m?
My math sucks.

Same old alt-right trolls attacking her as she's seen as an "SJW" on social media. Yawn.
It will be funny if they cast Bryce Dallas Howard as Audra, considering how so many people think JC/BDH are the same person.
Bryce Dallas Howard is my choice for Audra as well. It’s too perfect casting to actually happen though.

Glad this seems to be pretty good. With the cast involved I was hoping it would.

Clearly, we're talking about the wrong movie being nominated for best picture. We should have been talking about this. #ThatVoiceActing
Is this part of the Gnomeo and Juliet Cinematic Universe ?

There had to be some reason these guys were wanted for Flashpoint right ?

At this point I don’t think any month is a

As a fan of the book I’ve been a Chastain supporter for a while. Really don’t get why she’s getting all this hate. And the whole she’s only considered because she has red hair argument was ridiculous. I mean she’s close friends with the director, around the right age, and a good actress for the role. Of course she was going to be considered.

I legit hadn’t even heard of Mortal Engines until I got the trailer with Jumanji. Can’t say the same for the other options.

Over IW is looking more and more likely. Truly phenomenal.

T’Challa has recorded the second best Sunday ever at the domestic B.O. with an estimated $59.55M per industry estimates tonight, filing behind the all-time record held by Disney/Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($60.5M on Dec. 20, 2015). This now pushes Black Panther to a 3-day between $201M-$202M; still the 5th best domestic 3-day opening of all-time after 2012’s Avengers ($207.4M).
But here’s where it gets wild: Rivals are literally forecasting that the Ryan Coogler-directed Marvel movie could take the record for the second best 4-day opening of all-time with $241M-$243M after Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($288M). In that case, Black Panther would slaughter the Friday-Monday hauls of Avengers ($226.3M) Jurassic World ($234.1M), and, yes, Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($241.6M).
woohoo!!!

After WW outgrossed JL I’ve learned to not be surprised that team up movies are now not making as much as groundbreaking solo films. Avengers was fresh when it came out and as much as I love the MCU with these numbers BP > A:IW wouldn’t be too surprising. At least it won’t be a WW and JL sized gap.

If you would have told me two years ago that Black Panther would be over 150 million for the 4 day I would have asked you what you were smoking and now it’s way above it. This is all just gravy to me.
