Here we go again.
I'm tired of people calling movie a disappointment because they don't meet their unreasonable expectation. IW then FK and now I2.
Every Pixar movies except Coco flopped in China. Even Coco had a very weak OW, you can't expect every Pixar movies to recreate Coco's unique situation.

Pixar's movies generally doesn't do well in Asia which upsets me so much, their movies are awesome.
Kids prefer cute characters and easy to digest stories from Illumination. Adults don't care about animated movies.

Just rewatched JW to prepare for FK tomorrow. Now I remember how incredibly dumb JW's plot is, it's still really fun tho 😋

Eh, never intended to go to a Jurassic Park movie for its story or characters. I couldn't care less about JW's stupid teens or the romance between Pratt and that high heels running lady. They are just background noise for the awesome dinosaurs

IW's run in Brazil is nothing short of a miracle, it beats previous record by nearly 70%
It's a shame that ER is so bad. It would be at ~$120M with 2012's ER, ~$140M with Avatar ER

OS-China weekend is $11.1M
That's only 24.5% drop from last week estimate
about ~34% drop from last wk actual

OS number is all over the place because of ER fluctuation
Look like OS-China is at ~$969M (it's $965.2M based on latest number) after $11.1M weekend, should finish at ~$985-990M

OS-China will die with JW's release
GOGT2 and AOU's legs get IW DOM to $675M, IW's better than those 2 when facing competition so I think it can get to $680M. With a little push from Disney, I think it's possible
OS-China will be at ~$975M+ after this weekend, need little more than 3x this wk to get $1B. It'll be tough with JW on horizon but IW showed it could recover from direct competitions before.
10% seems about right, right?

I do not think that Infinity War deserves that kind of high praised from the fans, i mean the film is spectacular and that epic feeling that everybody enjoys, but is just the momentum... when you see the film again, decreases from what you initially think. Believe me, i like Infinity War... is very very fun, but is a tricky film that makes us believe that is better than it is. Even so, i will buy it when it comes in blu ray, so don´t think that i am fuckin fanboy, i´m just giving my honest opinion of which film i prefer.

Infinity War didn´t do anything special in terms of narrative and character development, if you think that because it "kills" half of his heroes, you are the one that makes me laugh, because unless you live under a rock, everybody knows that the deceased dudes have sequels coming, that´s not shocking, that´s merely a bluff.
TLJ is risky because the decisions that it took, are not easy to accept for many fanboys, and make no mistake, if we are gonna talk about quality, we shouldn´t talk about boxoffice. But one thing is a fact, and that one is that Star Wars is a franchise that keeps going, if we are gonna talk about the highest point in quality and boxoffice, Star Wars is still ahead of Marvel. So keep Laughing, is a very good thing that you have a good sense of humor when you don´t have any argument to defend your point.

I'm not gonna argue which movie/ franchise is better with you because clearly you have a very strong opinion and I can't convey my opinion using my phone.
One thing though, I have never known that SW is famous for its "quality"

I wake up to find out IW is safe and TLJ is risky
Excuse me when I'm laughing my way from JL to Solo.
Ring me when other franchises have something even come close to TA (let alone IW).
I like Star Wars but this level of fanboyism is deafening.

It could reach $690M but $700M still seems too far

No new competition this week, IW's heading for a very nice weekend.
$2B is pretty much locked and with China and DOM pulling some nice late legs, it may get close to TFA.

Not good. According to POTUS, IW only got 1% of showtime because of JW: FK. It'll likely to miss $380M
