Only one that has something to worry is WB.  Marvel Studios is like Pixar at this point, while the other studios aren't even trying to play catch up.

    Not really...

The $135.1M opening ofWarner Bros.’ Suicide Squad pushed the Burbank, CA-based studio past the $1B mark for the 16th year in a row at the domestic B.O. Warner Bros. has eclipsed that mark now 17 out of the last 18 years, which is an industry record.

What will be the first 1B WW grosser from the DCEU that is not coming from God Nolan ?

    Cyborg ?

    :ca:

    Wonder Woman
Took them decades to make this film cause they were afraid no one will wanna see it, and it will turn out to be the DCEU saver.

No where have I said its true. I'm pointing out the fact that youre trying to claim that Nilephelan is spreading false rumors on the Internet when in fact you don't know if theyre false or not because you nor I are on the inside. You have no idea what he has heard in regards to the film to claim that he's spreading false information.

I'm not claiming anything, ppl here wrote he said it's 250M, I didn't even know about this claim so don't turn it on me now

I only stated that even if he is an insider, there's no proof to this alleged 250M budget.
He maybe right, but we will never know hence you can't take 250M as a fact.

How do you know its false though? You don't. If you think companies are obligated to report their real budget then youre in for a rude awakening. Between reshoots, tax cuts etc no one knows what the real budgets for these films are except for the people on the inside. Nilephelan is man on the inside. Also other sites have hinted at it being above $175M so I don't know why you think its just Nilephelan reporting that. Before the film opened up, there were articles in the Suicide Squad thread talking about how much it cost and some of them had it between $175M-250M.

How do you know its true? you don't.
None here can know if it was 175M, 250M, or 400M
    All rumours.

And I read the main articles about SS, i'm not digging deep and I'm not overcomplexing my life
If sites like Box Office Mojo states a production number - then for me that's what it is.

I have heard whispers that the actual budget is way, way higher

I heard whispers all my life, many of them weren't true

This is under the category of rumours, in that case I don't mind ppl will say "there's a rumour that SS cost 400M to make and another 300M to advertise".

No offense or anything but the man knows more about whats going on, on the inside than most of us here. I'm not saying he's right or anything about SS budget, but don't discredit him by comparing his access of knowledge to our access of knowledge in the industry. For example, do you have inside info on the numbers that a film makes at the box office before they are released? No. Well neither do i. But Nilephlan does.

Still it doesn't give him a free pass to spread false budget numbers that no other reliable source had stated or can verify.
As I wrote: I respect him, but we are talking about the alledged 250M budget, a company as far as I know is obligated to inform about their real budget costs.
If it was 250M indeed then not only Nilephelan would know about it (along with BOT boards), also other sites would talk about it by now.

Nilephelan is an insider, if he's saying budget is 250M then that's the budget.

Does he work for WB or associated to SS production?

Stop it pls, if it was close to 250M major sites would talk about it for sure, and as far as I know WB have to state real production numbers
Nilephelan with all respect doesn't know more about SS real budget than any of us.

Though nilephelan mentioned the movie's budget may have been closer to 250M. He anticipated it will make healthy profits when ancillary revenues enter the picture.

On every reliable site the stated budget is 175M, only on Box Office Theory boards somehow DC film have higher budgets than stated.
I already got used to the level of hate some ppl here spread against any DCEU movie, but can we stop mixing wishful thinking with reality?

    The budget is 175M.

So great marketing is enough to give you a great opening day, but if the movie is shit, word travels very fast nowadays.

I doubt SS gonna drop that hard
BvS with a B Cinemascore dropped 38% if I remember correctly, so with B+ it can't be WoM worse than BvS.

If it's heavily young like under 13 and attracted families then I could see better legs like GOTG.  But non family films that skew under 25 are usually more frontloaded.

I don't think any kid or a teenager with a social awareness would wanna get caught watching SS with his parents :P

    Thinking 135m now.

I'm hoping for a big-ass drop next weekend. That's what this piece of shit deserves.

CinemaScore crowds under 35 gave Suicide Squad an A-, while 76% females gave it an A-.

Too many ppl love this "piece of shit".
You better get used to it.

So viewer scores are about the same as BvS so far?

the combination of African American and Hispanic moviegoers made up a huge 41% of the audience with both audiences giving the film a whopping 81% positive score.

I think It's no way near BvS audience reception which was mixed to negative mainly.
