THURSDAY 14TH DEC ESTIMATES

2. Justice League 3.465 adm. (-59%) = Total 866.475 ad..
3. Daddy's Home 2 3.048 adm. (-47%) =Total 158.694 adm.

Star Wars VIII OW Comp.
SW VII - TFA:
Previews: 23.352 Adm.
OD: 89.493 adm. ( 112.672 + previews)
OW: 368.117 adm. (391.469 + previews)
TOTAL: 1.399.484 adm.
MULTI: x3.8
Rogue One:
OD: 31.008 adm.
OW: 153.238 adm.
TOTAL: 570.463 adm.
MULTI: x3.72
Not bad at all OD (-17% from TFA) for SW VIII (34% Higher thatn JL OD, which had a 303k OW 5 weeks ago). I think it's heading to an OW in arround 330-340k adm., that will mean a -10% from TFA OW (without previews). After that it will dependes on legs, TFA had a x3.8 multi. that multi for TLJ will mean a total btw 1.250.000~1.300.000 adm.
It needs to beat Anabelle 2's 1.195.000 adm. to join the top 10 of most attended film of 2017.

Let's see how SW TLJ affect holdovers.
Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi, will be released in 432 screens, (I was expecting the widest release ever) this will be 19 screen less than TFA, and will be the 3rd widest of the year behind DM3 and JL. Beside it it will have one of the strongest OW of the year, but I expect to be very frontloaded. Remember that in Argentina there aren't holidays 'till 2nd january.

Despite being a Weekend with a holiday, things are very quiet in the cinemas. And since I don't think SW VIII will be something very special, I wxpect a powerfull OW, but I think it will fall ~20% from Episode VII. I decided to make and post a Top 100 movies based in admissions (Since 1997), coz I'm sure it wont change in few monts. Some movies of this year cracked this top. And I hope next year some others crack it to.
After SWIII run over, I'll post 2017's ranks (OW, Totals, Multipliers)

This friday it's a holiday and movies won't lose too much screens, so strong holds may (should) happend. Thor Ragnarok sold 85k in it's 4th week, a number that JL must beat. 900k admissions seems to be locked, and even It has a chance to best TR total.

Also in 14th Dec Stars Wars hits theaters with for sure the widest release ever, so don't know what to expect if JL can develop late legs as TR. Argentina isn't a big deal for Stars Wars (I see it finishing btw 1.2m-1.3m admissions, btw 8th and 10th place on most attended films of the year rank).-

3. Thor Ragnarok 40.384 (-53%) = Total 907.307
*JL still ahead of TR in term of admissions but just bit ahead (10k adm), something that should tourn around in this weekend, it has two more weeks 'till the arrive of Stars Wars to develop some kind of legs. Thor multi will hit the x3 today, and still has some legs so once again I say: amazing result (first MCU movie to hit 900k adm. without Tony Stark on the screen).

2017 was a year full of limited releases of Japanese animation movies, 'coz I'm a fan I make a list of how much adm. they sold. Numbers are low but that's all because almost every movie has very few shows (1 or 2 some) and not in all the theaters chains (5-15 cinemas depending on movie).
Kokaku kidotai 3153 Koe no Katachi 8985 Fairy Tail Dragon Cry 3174 Akira 1788 Kimi no na Wa 6336 Pokemon The Movie: I Choose You 14077 Also "The Wind Rises" and "Sword of the Strager" had releases but I couldn't find any number for them.
The number of shows that Pokemon received was a huge mistake, 'coz it had a lot space to drop better number. It has just 1 per day, during just two days in at least 25 complexes. And had the best adm. avg in that weekend among all the movies.

2. MotOE 36.193 adm (-40%) = Total 224.970
3. Thor: Ragnarok 28.203 adm. (-45%) = Total 895.126
*Justice League Opening Weekend Actual = 303.684 (passes Thor for the 9th highest OW of the Year, sure to finish 10th after SW VIII) Even with that fact, reach the 800k adm. it's starting to look preaty hard.

Strong weekly holds thanks to monday's holiday. JL is pacing 15% ahead of THOR 3 first week.
Right now Thor 3 first week multiplier stands on x2.17 it will end higher, but if JL at least can manage to repeat that multi it will end close to the 1M milestone, But Thor's holds were very good (2nd Week -41%, 3rd Week -42%, 4th -39%).

It's nice seeing Logan in 3rd spot though 😊
Thanks for your kind response.
Logan result is amazing, compared to the first two entries in the trilogy and even with the entire X-MEN franchise. Also it has the socond highest multiplier among the comic book movies just behind SM:HC (pushed by the winter holidays).

Seems like the Argentinian are not too fond to comicbook movies.
In fact 2017 was a really poor year for the genre, there's no comicbook movie in the Top 10 in terms of admissions, and won't be unless Justice League develops amazing legs (something that won't happend). 2016, had 3 movies that topped the most attended of this year. That said, the genre is not so popular than is it in Mexico or Brazil.
11th SM:HC 1.121.866
14th Thor 3 859.689 *still on theaters, but 13th movie sold 1.064.477, so there's no chance to get higher
15th Logan 828.006
19th GotG2 698.080
23rd WW 578.891
29th JL 424.365 *of course will end higher, but with luck it will crack the top 15
I won't mention Kingsman 2, because it's hard to tell it's ranking with it's poor 86.000~ adm.

Monday 20th (Holiday)
1. Justice League 97k adm. (-3% from sunday) = Total 397.391
2. MotOE 21k adm (-3% from sunday) = Total 177.095
3. Thor: Ragnarok 22,5k adm. (+7% from sunday) = Total 854.759
Thor Ragnarok becomes the most attended film in the Trilogy topping the 832.000 admissions, and still has some legs to top the 900k, in my opinion a powerfull result.
Poor result for the Justice League, it has no competition and will keep most of the screens 'till Star Wars VIII release on 14th december (also will have another holiday on 8th december), maybe with this fact could manage to have a decent finish, but it's realy hard to tell.

If we compare JL first saturday against Thor 3's first one:
JL 88k adm. =Total 197k
Thor 3 96k adm. = Total 203k
Thor's first sunday was the strongest of it's run with 99k adm. Tomorrow is a holiday so in face JL sunday has to be stronger than saturday, but it's run is being very disapointing.
-
Friday 17th Estimates
JL 54.142 (-2% from yesterday)
*Thor 3 increased 15% on it's first friday.
JL total still ahead of T3's with 109.292 adm.
Today weather doesn't seem to be good, so that could help to take saturday over 100k admissions, something that Thor couldn't do in any of it's days.

Thursday 26th Estimates
1. Justice League 55.149 Adm. OD
2. Murder on the Orient Express 5.670 adm. (-36%)
3. Thor Ragnarok 4.581 adm. (-63%)
Great, but nothing special OD for JL, amazing hold for MotOE sadly it's opening numbers were a bit low so totals won't be so high. Thor 3 had a nice hold despite JL opening.
Monday Is a holiday so we will have strong weekend. I expect strong weekend days for JL so it may outgross Thor 3 4-day weekend by a solid margin, if that happends 1m admissions will be locked.
JL comparissons:
Opening Days
-Thor 3 = 49.157
-SH:HC = 50.269
-SS (2016) = 66.160
-BvS (2016) = 137000 *holiday
Totals
-Thor 3 = 850.000~ *my prediction, still in theaters
-SM:HC = 1.120.000~ *pushed be winter holidays

In my opinion one of the most impressive. Where's heading it's hard to tell because JL hitting theaters in 3 Weekends.
Super Hero (Comic) Multi Comparison (2017):
-Logan x3.36
-GotG2 x2.70
-WW x3.35
-SM:HC x3.54 *relased on winter holidays.
-Avg. x3.24
In my opnion Thor 3's legs won't be as good as Logan or Wonder Woman's legs but at least it will have better multi than GotG. I imagine it finishing in a multi of 2.85, with that will be enought to finish above of Thor The Dark World's total.

WEEKEND (07 - 10 SEP) ESTIMATES:
# MOVIE ADMISSIONS SCREENS % CHANGE LW TOTAL 1 Anabelle 2: Creation 279.558 372 -33% 820.922 2 Los que Aman Odian *NEW 124.507 261 - 124.507 3 Emoji: The Movie 59.957 162 +1% 644.022 4 El Fútbol o Yo 52.599 116 -26% 924.110 5 Atomic Blonde *NEW 29.749 136 29.749 6 La Cordillera 29.409 116 -51% 566.372 7 Ozzy 13.459 93 -26% 35.337 8 Captain Underpants 12.378 68 -30% 135.210 9 Mamá se fue de Viaje 9.592 32 -35% 1.594.532 10 Valerian And The City of a Thousand Planets 9.418 32 -55% 104.683 Strong hold for Anabelle 2 coming from an amazing OW (The Conjuring 2 -26%, at this same point it reached 1M admissions), it's tracking TC2 by a ~19%, but it's looking in nice shape to be one of the highlights of the year. I keep thinking that it's aiming to a total close to 1.3M, it' could go higher depending on how Amytville (14th Sept) and specially It (21th Sept) hit it's late legs.
Another local movie, Los que Aman odian opens over the 100.000 admissions mark (6th of the year and the lowest OW among them) and based on it's so/so reviews, there's no much to expect from it. Emoji once again laughting from critics and achieved an increase, this movie will enjoy the lack of strong animated movies for the next couple of weeks (28th Sept Ninjago).

It should end it's run easily over 1M admissions (I imagine it finishing at arround 1.3M). Overall good holds, with "El Fútbol o Yo" getting closer to the 1M milestone.
Anabelle 2 achievements:
-5th Highest OW of the year (4th PotC 5, 6th SM:HC).
-2nd Highest OW ever, in terms of Admissions (1st The Conjuring 2 485.910 Adm.)
-Highest OW of the year for Warner (Upcoming Warner highlights: "It" and Justice League)

Star Wars : Episode VIII - The Last Jedi Daily Admissions Estimates:
SW VIII numbers are not so good, since there's no daily track of TFA, I will compare against the last 2 biggest OW of this year.
*Based on estimates, not in actuals.
SW SWIII, Saturday may be affected by very good weather durind the day and a strong storm during the evening. Today weather isn't as good as yesterday and there's no forecast for storms. So let's hope it has a powerfull day, if not it will fall short from 300k admissions (-20% from TFA).
