    It happens every year. Good movies flop or disappointment sometimes. No need to have a tantrum.

    Illumination is damn impressive. They know how to make a crowdpleaser for the families. I think Universal might bring DWA back to blockbuster heights. But are you really surprised DM3 made $1B, especially when Minions did $1.1B and DM2 was close to $1B.

    There’s the past too. Scary Movie 3, The majority of the Paranormal Activity Franchise, Saw movies and countless others.

    However the future is looking great for the horror genre, IT 2 should do $300M, TCU will keep on creating great films and greater numbers, Blumhouse also make great horror movies, Glass and maybe Spooky Jack has a great shot for $200M.

    TCU films (except Annabelle) tend to have solid legs, IT looked like and was an event, Get Out was a great film with political commentary too, and Split was also a great film. However that doesn’t mean every horror movie will have insane legs.

    Or maybe it performed like most horror movies especially ones opening on Friday the 13th.

    I get MinaTakla is hyped about DM3’s and loves Illumination, it’s just that DM3 reaching $1B isn’t a surprise to anyone. It has nothing to do with biases. Had Pets or Grinch made $1B, that’d be an impressive run. There’s also far more impressive runs this year like IT, WW, Dunkirk, Beast, and Get Out. However I will give DM3 this, aside from Boss Baby and Lego Batman, it was the only really successful animated movie this year.

    It's my guilty pleasure. I have to say Emmy Winning Episode was surprisingly good and definitely was one of the best recent episodes.

    Ricky and Morty is also dope as well.

    Bobs Burgers is great but Bojack is king. Robot Chicken and Archer do their job as well. I miss Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

    However in terms of new seasons: New South Park > New Family Guy > New Simpsons

    The best new seasons (2014-2017) episode imo was probably the Magic episode, Wacky Races kr Tweek x Craig.

    I liked the Towelie and Oprah episode better in that season but both were good.

    You know what, I’ll watch an episode and see if it’s decent. There’s other things worse on Netflix like 13 Reasons Why or Death Note.

    It appeared under recommended for me under Bojack Horseman. Critics seem to like it. It has an 100% on RT.
