RIP, Debbie Reynolds, at least you'll be with your daughter now. I feels so bad for the Fisher family, but I feel for the son losing both his mom and sister and Fisher's daughter lost both her mom and her grandmother. -
I believe someone here had a club for that.

Agreed. I think most of us here overestimated Moana and was just trying to prove in my opinion the main reason why it didn't overperform like Frozen or Zootopia.

Frozen also got a re-release, which seems unlikely Moana would have one (so Ride Along, Lone Survivor and Lego Movie where the competition it had during the re-release) and had minimal family competition unlike Moana during the holidays not to mention that HG2 didn't lit the world on fire OS and Anchorman 2, Mr. Banks, and Wolf did decently. Rogue One should do over $500M, Strange and Beasts did about $230M, Trolls did over $150M, and Sing is probably going over $250M.

The thing that hurt the most Moana wasn't the ethnicity of the main characters but it was the competition both Domestic and Worldwide. Moana had to deal with Strange. Rogue One, Beasts, Sing, and to a lesser extent Trolls.

Loved the books as a kid, It also has multiple animation styles (CGI, 2D hand drawn scenes, puppetry) Captain Underpants seems like it could be fun, may even see it.
