In terms of a possible sequel, which scenario is the most likely? No sequel, a direct sequel (as they originally planned), or a reboot with new actors/approach?
It would seem that the movie's boost to backlog sales and potential facilitating of mobile game sales in China will ensure that the movie was a net positive for Ubisoft, despite the low critical reception.
Resident Evil has incredible presales numbers, but it looks like Assassin's Creed also has kind of decent presales as well. I am wondering if the latter might actually end up hitting $300 million WW after all (taking Japan into account). Like Resident Evil, it too will probably be very frontloaded in China.
What might be a realistic number to expect for Assassin's Creed? Which is the better known series in China, Assassin's Creed or Resident Evil?
Hopefully both do well but it seems like the mutual date creates some competition.
