How much can BahuBali gross. Can it expand its audience base and have a leggy run? I know there were issues with release in Canada last week, was that resolved?
So BahuBali 5 can gross 100m in US/Can?
No. This is like tfa. Growing audience is very tough let alone 5x.

Don't worry about other studios copying Disney.
They couldn't even if they tried.
Sinister 6 and a Bumblebee spinoff.
Well disney tried to be like warner bros in 2000's.
Disney dominated only for one year while wb is still to have a bad year in last 20 years.
Universal is doing great ( including bumblebee spinoff).
Other studios are trying to be like this three.

Sherilyn Fenn in the TV show Twin Peaks.
Wow! My memory outright sucks!!

I don't have any problem with disney (other than copyright laws) but I hope other studios doesn't become like them for the sake of diversity. Universal is doing great with small.and blockbuster films, WB is doing small and non-brand expensive movies and getting few doses of valerian type of movies is great too. Ofcourse there are always nolans, camerons and spielbergs.

I liked the Cloudy films but they were hardly box office giants. I don't see their involvement getting this to 150M+, let alone 200M.
But both cloudy and jomp street films were critically praised and financially successful. Spiderman brand with good reviews could take this to 150. 200 seems very difficult though.

I'm including them too in my list, in Hollywood I feel like everyone should have a chance.
My point was towards hollywood. You will not have much to include in your list, thanks to hollywood.

I'm much more disturbed by lack of female-oriented films and female directors.
Well history has thought anything then it will be first white men then black men then women. And people don't even care.

I think this will open to 1.7 billion and will break avatar and gone with the wind inflated gross!

As the guy says in Om Shanti om rather hilariously...
SUPERHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!
The Dice Scene would be a great ending but I think Part 2 needs a battle as well.
However Part 3 would make up for it, the thing is such movies can made but studios avoid them as the cost to give them justice is insane.
Just don't make it melodramatic and don't a unnecessary romantic subplot.

what is the current record holder?
Dangal with 60 million dollars

So which country has highest grossing movie in that country?
I am writing how much I know
USA (star wars VII) - 930 million
China (mermaid) - 510 million
Japan (spirited away) - 260 million
France (intouchables) - 210-230 million
UK (star wars VII) - 190? Million
If bahubali 2 do 230-240 million in india, it will be great.

True. Mahabharata cannot be done properly in couple of movies given how vast and how many characters are there. Needs at least 4 as you mentioned.
How about 3 movies about war. Then a prequel triology. And then a trilogy about what happened after the war.

I think we can safely say we will never see anything like this ever again. A dubbed movie doing 150Cr Hindi business in 4 days is ridiculous. Overall it is probably 400Cr Nett in 4 days and in all likelihood 500Cr gross domestic.
No movie ever did 100Cr weekend, and now this has probably done it on 4 back to back days. The "Why Katapa killed Bahubali?" Cliffhanger definitely worked. Else it would have been a success but not the phenomenon it became.
Bahubali 1 hindi dub trp were great on sat max. I think more than that cliffhanger, people enjoyed the film immensely. Still I don't think anyone can find the reason for bahubali 2 record breaking run in north india in a non-festive-holiday season with no mega star!!!
