20th Century Fox was the highest grossing studio that year. It doesn't even exist anymore.
Also that same year Fox attempted to buy Time Warner

Didn't Endgame have a near 500M+ budget if you include P&A?

Paramount is a way better option for DC. I'm afraid with the future of the DC content because of this decision.
I doubt Paramount has the money to buy WB because let's be honest, if DC is getting sold, the whole studio will be sold along with it, not separate. Paramount had to sell off their films this year to survive.

Kilar states that they've been talking to their partners and are renegotiating deals for the creatives
https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/hbo-max-warner-bros-jason-kilar-dealmakers-1234850254/
QuoteKilar vowed that the studio would renegotiate contractual terms with creative partners on the films “through the lens of generosity,” but he acknowledged after being pressed by Eller that he did not reach out to many key creative partners for the studio until after the bombshell announcement hit Dec. 3.
“We’re in the middle of a pandemic. I can’t wave that away,” Kilar said. “But in terms of how we’re trying to approach this financially and economically with the folks that we partner with, we are endeavoring to be generous at every turn.”
But the the combination of uncertainty and surprise has roiled the film community. The studio is facing threat of lawsuits from production partners like Legendary, and the ire of industry orgs such as the Directors Guild of America. Kilar said WarnerMedia and Warner Bros. executives have made outreach to as many as 700 people to discuss the plan.
“The vast majority of those conversations have been very, very positive because as people are able to hear from us, and to be able to be taken through it, and to be able to have questions answered, ultimately people feel good about that,” Kilar said. “We all want a healthy industry, we all want storytellers to be compensated fairly and ideally generously, and we ultimately want studios to be healthy, too. So this is all of us doing the best we can.”
Kilar emphasized that he is well aware of how important talent relations are for the studio amid the massive overhaul of executive operations, which came with more than 1,000 layoffs. Under AT&T’s ownership, the new focus on fueling premium film and TV productions to HBO Max is a big sea change for the studio’s strategy of assembling high-wattage projects that commanded top dollar from outside buyers.
“I see this as a defining moment for WarnerMedia. I really do because there’s a lot of spotlights on us right now and how we conduct ourselves,” Kilar said. “I feel very good about the steps we’re taking.”

I'm glad they went full throttle in pissing so many people off. Streaming for new films as the only option sucks.
But it's not the only option, you get two. Watch on HBO Max or watch in theaters. If you don't have HBO Max in your territory then it'll still be available for you in theaters.

Legendary not knowing anything about this is hilarious considering that Jason Momoa once posted a video of himself jogging from the DC Films office to the Legendary office next door 😂

I didn’t watch the video myself, too much stuff was going on then and I didn’t bother watching it after.
But honestly, if they can’t figure out a way to get subs with a whole years worth of movies and leading into that with WW84 then they should just shut Hbomax down cause their marketing department sucks.
They literally have no marketing department. The top execs were either fired or got let go

I was expecting bad reactions, they said that the leaked script was a mess
"They" was one person who got his info from some guy on r/DCEULeaks who attended a test screening nearly 2 years ago and posted about it.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jon M. Chu must be pissed as hell right now after how enthusiastically they've been talking about In the Heights this year and saying they wanted people to experience it in theaters. WB is gonna have a ton of problems booking talent if big names vow to never work with the studio again.
I mean people can still go to the theaters and watch it. It's just released both in theaters and on HBO Max at the same time.

HBO Max's free trial is gone for people who were asking if the trial was still going to be around before the movie comes out

why can't they release this overseas , then an HBOMAX exclusive 5 weeks later in the US, i think that strategy can work
HBO Max is only in the US

Grace is clearly bored up in her NYC penthouse. She said the other day that the Snyder Cut was going to be released on HBO Max but the Coronavirus Outbreak stopped it from happening 🙄

Move it to Eternals spot then put Eternals on Disney Plus so all Marvel films won’t have to get shifted
Makes more sense for Black Widow considering her character is dead and this movie takes place in the past so it doesn't really effect the future of the MCU unlike the Eternals.

Movie has already leaked...It's quite a good quality cam...
Yeah I saw it hit the webs yesterday and thought it was a fake, guess not

I don't think it'll have a "big" impact as of now but one thing that would be absolutely disastrous is if a Coronavirus outbreak occurs at a theater location.

Considering this debuted recently, I think debuting the trailer at Wonder Con or right before is likely

I wonder how much money WB actually spent on BOP considering they only funded half of Joker's budget 🤔

Budget will probably be more than that.
Lots of Vfx and big cgi action sequences in the movie.
The budget will be closer to first movie.
Doubt it on the CGI

How does the movie have an A Cinemascore when it's not even out yet for the public?

You really need to cut this shit out.
A. casting big names in supporting roles and having lesser known - or in the case of RDJ, down-on-their-luck - actors for leads is what MCU have done as well
B. Said actors in supporting roles are not doing this for artistic integrity, they're doing it for the money. If WB throws enough money at an actor, there's a good chance that, if they're open to superhero movies in general, they'll take the role, without giving a shit if it's Marvel or DC, knowing full well they may never even watch the movie in its entirety. You using Emma Stone as some example means fuck all.
Did you read what I fucking said? I literally said what you said in the A post. Cast big names in the supporting roles and add someone like Jodie Comer in the lead. Also I brought up big names not being attached because of the DCEU's track record of getting said big names. BOP had none outside of Robbie, Shazam had none, Aquaman had Nicole Kidman, JL had none outside of Gal/Ben, WW had none etc. I can keep going.
