The Frozen short was boring dreck but the actual film was great. It was quite different from The Book of Life and was a much better film.

With Pacific Rim: Uprising moving to March, Blank Panther now has the entire month of February all to it's self. I think there's a big chance it'll be the breakout hit of 2018.

Agreed. That OW will hit 225m+ if marketing is on point. The hype will be massive. Maybe the multi sucks, but even if it does it will still hit 500.
Doubt it. Civil War barely got past 400m despite great reviews and WOM. Infinity War will open higher but it'll have a shit multi and be extremely frontloaded.

I don't understand why they killed these characters off only to bring them back in the very next film. Even if there is an in-universe explanation for their return it'll still feel cheap bringing them back.

Annabelle $21.5m
Nut Job $12m

Voted for Black Panther since January and February are dead and Black Panther is the only major film being released in that time frame.
-
Paul Feig himself said that Ghostbusters needed 500m to be a success. It made less than half of that. So unless the merchandise was a huge success there not going to make a sequel.

In the end it easnt even close foe the summer crown.
DM3 won by a wide margin.
Especially when you consider how low it's budget is.

Jurassic World still remains as the most impressive opening weekend, IMO. Nobody had any idea how huge it would be.
-
Kingsman: The Golden Circle and IT. Don't really care about anything else.

Absolutely love this film. Aside from some outdated CGI it still holds up.

Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes is enjoyable even if it has a really stupid ending.

Thought this was pretty meh. Some parts were really boring and bland which is surprising when you consider how much material the book provided. Idris Elba's character was enjoyable but only because he was played by Idris Elba not because he was actually well written. Overall I didn't hate it but I'll probably never watch it again.

You can find the entire film on Youtube split into several videos if you look hard enough.

Nikita, The Profesionnal, Le Dernier Combat, Subway... No ?
All of those except the Professional are garbage and even the Professional isn't all that great.

The film was released at the height of the series popularity. I remember having the games and watching the show on Kids WB so I was extremely excited for this film. While I still play the games today, the anime was definitely a product of the times.

The new release date is definitely better since it's no longer being sandwhiched between Deadpool 2, Incredibles 2, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
-
I want John Cena to transform into a monster truck.

I love how RT didn't even bother to put an actual consensus.

This is Luc Besson's only worthwhile film.
