While this was better than Age of Extinction it was still way to long and bloated for it's own good. It felt like they had ideas for three separate films and decided to cram all of them into this one. There was just way too much shit going on and there were way too many scenes where the characters just sat around and spouted exposition. The Final Battle was cool but it doesn't make up for the rest of the film being so messy.

This will have to rely on it's overseas gross since it'll do terrible domestically.

Doctor Strange. Not a terrible film but just really fucking bland.

I've enjoyed most of the Marvel shows but this looks really bland and uninteresting.

Even if the franchise dies, we'll probably see a reboot in a couple years. You just don't abandon a series that had 4 highly successful films.

Does anyone know what the budget for this may be? If it's similar to Batman they won't need that much to break even.

Shit. That's terrible for a franchise that's relying on its overseas gross.

This is the only Fox/Marvel movie I'm looking forward too.

This whole film was just Emmerichs attempt to make his own shittier version of Jurassic Park. It did really poor despite having such a massive marketing campaign.

This will end up well below TF4 in China. Really bad for a franchise that is totally dependent on overseas numbers.

It's not performing awful at all. It will be a steep fall but still make profit for Paramount.
A $69M opening is terrible when you compare it to any of the previous films openings. It'll fall more than $100M short of T4's total. The franchise is near dead in the U.S. which means they will have to rely on the overseas numbers to make their budget back.

With how awful TF5 is performing I can't see them going through with this.

What a piece of shit. Tom Cruise is completely miscast and his relationship with the blonde girl was just abysmal. The film spends so much time setting up other movies that it forgets to tell any sort of compelling story. Also the tone was all over the place. It couldn't decide if it wanted to be a horror film or just another stupid summer blockbuster. The only thing I enjoyed was Russel Crow and his hammy performance but aside from that this was just a boring mess. It's clear that Universal just shit this out to set up their Dark Universe and didn't put any thought into it.

I doubt the reviews will affect the boxoffice. All of the previous films succeeded despite their negative reviews. I don't see how this one will be any different.

Yes. DVDs and Blu-rays will eventually be phased out. Digital Distribution is just cheaper and more convenient. The only thing stopping major studios from committing to digital distribution is the fact that there is no universal streaming service. The closest one is Netflix.
