I haven't seen it, but the idea seems a bit tone deaf.
Some people are bit too well meaning for their own good.

No decision needed until next month.
See how things pan out.

We all new it was coming.

Principal photography wrapped up in December 2018 and Patty Jenkins did claim last December that the movie was more or less finished.
Reshoots were in July 2019, still seems way too tight a schedule.

The unfortunate thing is that the decision to move this film out of December was done before the Star Wars franchise had taken a hit in popularity. All things considered, WW84 probably could’ve done just fine with its initial release date. Hell, the Jumanji sequel ended up taking that date, and it did pretty well for itself.
I doubt the movie would have been finished in time. But yes that release date was the best in hindsight.

June still seems good to me. Should hopefully die down by then. WW84 has the potential to be the first blockbuster out after this. Movies have always been there to distract and comfort.
If not, December is a great date. No matter what happens, this is going to make 1 billion. No release date is going to change that.
December is predicted to be the peak of the outbreak.
It's the worse possible date.

Moved to 2084, better safe than sorry.
Theaters could re-open in 2 months, or in 6 months. Hard to make plans when the situation changes daily.
They will be open in June, they will be closed again by December. The coming winter, not the last one, will be the prime of the outbreak.
That's my prediction.

November 2019 was the best slot......in hindsight.

Someone on twitter joked a few days ago "enjoy the last week of talking about anything other than the coronavirus."
That also applies to box office. It's going to have a material affect on movies' revenues, it'd be crazy to ignore it.
Flu season is usually over by May.

It's for good causes people, stop being so cynical.

Meh, this didn't help, sure, but if Flybe were in a healthy position, they would have survived with reducing frequency, cutting routes, some unpaid leave, etc. Which is what the likes of Virgin, Cathay, Lufthansa and numerous other huge carriers are doing. Flybe was on borrowed time, so don't think that's such a valid point.
Having said that, as someone that works in travel - yeah, demand has tanked and numerous other companies will fold because of this. I think it's impossible for numerous other industries to remain unscathed the longer this goes on, and cinemas will become exposed soon enough. Either with people voluntarily skipping cinema-going (and that potentially starting a vicious circle of studio delays due to lack of people in cinemas, and people less likely to take the risk with nothing to see, due to delays) or with mandated closures - there will be a downturn.
Virgin have reported a 50% drop in passenger numbers.
Cant blame me though, I was in Krakow January, Venice Febuary, I'll be in Reykjavik next week and Lake Como next month.

This and Black Widow are the only blockbusters I care about and don’t want to be delayed. We’ll see. I think by June it’ll have all blown over.
I don't think so, it's only just starting to take off in Europe and the US.
Just the fear of this thing is starting to cause problems rather than the virus itself.
Flybe just went bust with a 50% drop in passenger numbers. I imagine it will spill over into everything where people congregate, including cinemas.
-
Said on the news UK they are moving state from containment to delay.
That means they expect the situation to deteriorate.
Expect large gatherings including cinemas to be on the list of things to shut down.

All actors can act !
It's literally their job, if they couldn't act they wouldn't be acting in stuff.

I thought it was better than Us (which I really liked too). Definitely more action oriented than just horror like Us though.
Loved Get out, hated US.

Cant wait to see this.

My feed says top critics 6 fresh 1 rotten !

86% with 15 reviews.
AV score 7.28 but top critics give only 6.0.

Damn, I was there 2 weeks ago.
I don't feel too good.

True. The fact the the film is excellent was the biggest part of the success. But the good reviews had a real impact. With the same bad press as BvS and SS, she wouldn't have survived with the same thing that these two films faced.
I would have agreed if Venom didn't exist.

This is predicted to come back strong next winter, I wouldn't be surprised at it moving to next June.
Certainly if they take it off the books, it won't have a new release date assigned for a while, just like BW.
