That's sad, i was hoping for a nuanced exposition of recent world history, an optimism about the arc of justice, a good antidote to all the negative news I see daily.
But I guess it's just a giant monster movie.

Too late to reshoot or do anything really and the budget means they can't just drop it.
I think they will just release it and drop him from the promo and add disclaimers etc.
Its an ensemble cast, so should not be a reason for people not to see it.

Aside from their #1 show, they cancel every single TV show after 2 seasons, max 3, even if it's popular. Their business model doesn't benefit from continuing successful IPs, it instead relies upon making new, new, new, and more new content.
Not sure what your point is with mulan/ww84. Like I saiid they were not straight-to-streaming, they were premium VOD, there is a huge difference. The overwhelming majority of audience clearly are not willing to pay $30 for a movie at home.
Killing series after 2 or 3 seasons is a good thing IMO.

We've got two new starters at work.
Been there 3 weeks, nice guys, know their names, talk to them....haven't got a clue what they look like.
Guess this is the new norm.

This will be the first movie I see in an actual theatre this year if all goes to plan.
Looking forward to it.
