Incredibles 2 has the better RT average rating and metacritic score than Finding Dory but compare the RT Critics Consensus.

Critics Consensus: Incredibles 2 reunites Pixar's family crime fighting team for a long-awaited follow-up that may not quite live up to the original, but comes close enough to earn its name.

Critics Consensus: Funny, poignant, and thought-provoking, Finding Dory delivers a beautifully animated adventure that adds another entertaining chapter to its predecessor's classic story.

You'd think Incredibles 2 underdelivered reading that consensus. I imagine Pixar/Disney won't be too happy reading that.

Who is writing the critic consensus for RT lately the one for Jurrassic World 2 is laughable

I never saw any marketing for the first movie, soooooo

People are supposed to judge a trailer.  That's literally what they're made for, for people to see them and think "oh this looks good!" or "oh this looks like shit!"  I guarantee you wouldn't have this problem if people were being overly positive with the trailer.

See my posts on Solo Justice League, IW and the Incredibles 2

  3. Saw it today. Some  thoughts, Some jokes in the beginning didn't land at all for me, references I didn't get maybe bigger SW fans would, also the Han & Chewie meeting was quick to say the least ,also some of the transitions of scenes and dialogue was clunky at times especially when it went from the end of kessel to the new planet

I liked Emilia Clarke she did decent (better then I expected) she and Alden had ok chemistry, enjoyed the new droid, really liked Woody Harrelson he has some great action moments and pulled them off
And what really surprised me is how much I enjoyed the Han ,Chewie and Lando moments I thought they had a great chemistry and bounced off each other well and the third act Alden impressed me it felt like he came into the character which i'm glad about he seemed to get a lot of stick before people saw him and predicted it would hurt his career I hope it does the opposite would like to see more of him he has a likeablity about him.

The third act actually made me a bit interested in a possible sequel but we'll see about that and how it performs. Overall I liked it, think some OTT star wars fans are being very harsh on it

well, i think $ 400M is basically locked for I2 now

it could going $ 20M under the tracking and still cross $ 400M with a 3.3x multiplier [Dory have a 3.6x multiplier]

actually, with this tracking, this has a huge shot in $ 500M dom [and i think $ 1B worldwide is probably with this DOM]

still, the movie will be released in 3 weeks, with probably great reviews to come... this tracking could be even higher in the release week

Well considering its Pixar and there is no word on reviews or even a premiere date 3 weeks out, I would put a big ? next to those great reviews, even cars 3 had some word on how it was by now

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if critics didn't like it The weird reaction people had when they said they were not doing a time jump and the reaction the fact the movie will focus on elasti-girl was pretty telling for me

I have been wanting this sequel ever since the original, but sadly none of the trailers are doing it for me. I am just disappointed that they are starting right from where they left. Moreover, the animation doesn't look any better than what we got in 2004. 15 years...and this is the best, they can come up with? I will still check it out, but hype and expectation level is 0.

    What even is this comment?

There are numerous screenshots online of how much better the animation is and you are upset that the people who created the first one that you liked so much are telling the story they want to tell  and are being given the freedom to do this?

I'll never get the over entitled "fans" who moan when the creators of the story tell the story in the way they want to and not the way the fans want them too

I may be stating the obvious to anyone who's not dumb/brainwashed, but we finally have concrete evidence that the ridiculously high and underserved RT scores for Marvel movies are a result of payola and shading dealings.

How when that is just one publication out of many others who saw it (plus we dont even know what score they would give it)

Also if they were that desperate to see it im sure the reviewer could of seen it when WB  flew reviewers out to London for JL stuff and put them up in a hotel they'd have some spare cash then, seeing as Ragnarok has been out since 25th of October in the UK

Also funny they waited until know to say it seeing as most saw it back in October
