Google Trends US:
Dunkirk basically right where Spiderman was Tuesday week of release, but came up from lower baseline level. It's well past where Apes was last Tuesday.
It also just crossed over both in terms of current level of searches.

Have you guys discussed the ridiculous smear campaign on IMDb in the written user reviews? A bunch of people are posting what can only be agenda-driven 1-star reviews that make no sense and then marking each other's reviews as "useful" to keep them at the top. Actually really irksome.

Thor immediately precedes start of Infinity Wars per sneak peek descriptions. They likely release Infinity Wars trailer with the movie and I think that will really boost it.

Not sure if anyone posted but interesting.data point on Atom promotion is that 23.7K reviews for Apes vs 6K for Spiderman.
The app sends you an easy review notification as you walk out of the movie so I think most people would do it (quick tap on the # stars).
Wild guessing 100-150k tickets for apes sold through Atom by saying 1 of every 3 will review and factoring in multiple tickets bought by one person (since BOGO offer).

Well....I'm done tracking this particular theater...day over day increase Friday to Saturday was 70% and definitely more than previews+Friday.
I'm assuming walk-ups were enhanced thanks to being in a mall, but this theater made $35,000-$40,000 on Apps tickets yesterday....
I'm concluding it is an unhelpful data point for the overall situation..

Not at all surprised about Apes Saturday number and if this theater is a trend, then the Saturday number should rise further...
Theater also sold $2825.57 in tickets from 10am to 1pm today (7/15), but I'm not including that since I don't have yesterday's numbers though today is certainly way above.
I missed numbers on today's 9am show and will miss the 11:55 and 1am showings that haven't happened yet.

I should add the local theater has a few much smaller showings - the RealDs only have capacity of 58 + 8 handicap so they were full. I think that's the main reason for the difference. Sorry...got lazy on adding capacity...I will in the future.

Also watching Google Trends as "Apes" finally crossed over "Spiderman." These search terms reliably track the films historically. Will be interesting to watch if "Apes" really spikes into the night.

I've been following 2 local theaters since early afternoon in Northern VA and will post tickets sold for each show FWIW. This is a popular area for movies so these theaters way over perform, but also FWIW this is at least as packed for evening times as SMH last Friday (seems moreso, but didn't get exact #s down last week). 630pm Apes is ~200 filled seats at $20.59 per seat.
