Bioshock is gonna be a movie.
Yea just like how the like of Metal Gear solid movie have been stuck in production hell.
The samurai game movie by John Wick director could be cool if there's some bankable actor.

Ignore things that don't work like you ignored legacy characters like Black Widow and Hulk.
MCU is not alien to ignoring previously setup arcs and characters in favor of other directions , Thor's development gets reset everytime.
Abandoning chracter arcs that were teased in multiple movies was such an MCU thing in the 2010s lol.

Do you think if Sony pushes Pavitr Prabhakar in the Indian marketing for Spider-Verse 2, it could substantially outgross Mario in the country?
Spiderman is top Hollywood film property in India before or after Avengers franchise was a thing.
Hoping it will fill up the box office expectation people had from last 2 MCU films here- 1

Yeah I really didn't expect Mario's weakest region to be Asia of all places
There is no Nintendo brand in India but people and their parents do have fond memory of playing original super mario(its more or less pretty relevant video game to this day here) and that is pretty much the only thing when it comes to brand recognition.
I dont know if the case is similar with other south east markets tho I can definitely say that Pokemon is a much bigger household name amongst all youngsters in asia but that did not help detective pikachu much. -

France is Nintendo’s biggest market in Europe, still good numbers but I expected more from it.
I think its become a pretty lit place lately so maybe that hindered it partially..

If done right, it has the potential to supersede the films: more accessible (to non-readers) and richer story, better character development, better worldbuilding, etc. I am saying this as a big fan of both the films and the books.
The books absolutely allow for another interpretation that is distinctive and different in style from the films.
We are talking about WB at its story telling peak during the early Potter movie era.
Today's WB cannot even compete , its just the sad state of Hollywood film making nowadays so the best one can hope for this is to just not suck. -
This will be frustratingly mediocre at best if true...

Instead of just being another Shazam stint this has the Latino demographics and cobra kai fandom (Cobra Kai audience >> DC fandom in this case) behind it and a fertile box office slot.
I dont know a thing about Brazil/Spain market but those markets can pretty much save this movie if it clicks with teens and families. -

Disney Channel original movies
Those films until early 2010s are somehow miles better than 90% of the Hollywood/netflix drivel we got in the last decade

Can't believe Night 2. Almost every decision was a bad one. Night 1 was perfect, Night 2 was the opposite of that.
At least I chose the right night to attend in person yesterday, today would have been a bummer.
I saw the trailer with John Wick , it has written "So bad its so good" written all over it
Actually wanted a Jaani Dushman/The Room equivalent for a Hollywood exorcist movie for a long time so we could finally a cult comedy horror classic for once -
Loved the new fighters but this could've done with 2.5hr runtime.
The 3rd movie is still the franchise high and it's opening is undefeated.

In short I fucking loved the original when i saw it as a kid and i wont know if it will today , it does end on a feel good note after that chaotic 3rd act so maybe it will
(I can't pinpoint why its awesome maybe it was "stranger things with adults X more personal stakes/less bombastic version of our usual Spielberg/Emmerich sci-fi spectacle of that era" combo)- 4

Real problem is the original is not that great a film.Yeah, the effects are great, but the rest of the film is not. You don't really care about any of the main charecters
When I was a kid i didn't know english or had any "American" context for this movie when I saw it first time in early 00s on cable in dubbed language and find it awesome.
I dont know why but 20yrs later i still fondly remember this which I can't say about most of the out an out action blockbusters from the last 40yrs.
Maybe it was the 90s charm that this, Speed , MiB and very few other blockbusters share but it has a very "unique" place in summer tentpole movie genre imo that Hollywood had never made before or ever since.- 1

Bollywood there is only one Draw - Shah Rukh Khan
Not true , there's been someone else who's consistently been a bigger draw since covid times.

What MCU need is a couple of Cap America 2/Dr Strange 1 type movies in future so that we can actually take the new avengers seriously and bring back some much needed faith to the brand.

This was very likely a rushed, last-minute deal. Deadline reported a while back that STX (or Miramax?) was shopping the movie around to streamers
3 hours ago, filmlover said:It was originally going to be released by STX before they shut their doors
There were shows for this movie in my city around Jan-Feb here in India for some reason , i dont think it was released anywhere else that early..

Heard similar things with The Batman and it was valid in the first act but not a real deal breaker overall for me atleast since i liked that movie

Every single frame in this looks visually repulsive lol. All the desert stuff looks CW-esque
I think there's something odd with the aspect ratio , it doesn't necessarily has that cinematic look and more IMAX kinda look

I don't know how formidable of a villain you can make out of Emraan Hashmi that would justify Salman calling Srk for help in the next film
