For me.. seeing the joy in kids faces, black kids who never had a Marvel superhero, outweighs the uneasiness of Trump’s buddy racist, sexist Ike Perlmutter getting my euros. In addition to that, black director, black cast, black production designer, black costume designer, white hipster dude as a composer and a white woman as a cinematographer just fills my liberal heart with joy.

If they hire someone for like 5 or 6 movies, I guess that makes it hard to kill a character too right? I don’t think Marvel heads have the whole storyline plotted out like JK did with Harry Potter, which results in existing contracts making it harder to kill someone even if the story demands it! Its funny because I was reading an interview of BP’s cinematographer and she was purposely trying to make a movie completely different (read: better) than what Marvel has produced so far.
