Tuesday Numbers (Feb 20): BP- 20.9 PR - 1.9 FSF - 1.6

But weren’t yesterday gross lower due to “cheap tuesdays” or whatever? So won’t today’s tickets be more expensive meaning more revenue? If not, I might need to amend my projection. -

That’s what I’ve been telling them!! Anyways, BP did well yesterday overseas. The overseas Tuesday was $14.6M to represent 11% of the opening weekend. It’s performing well ahead of Doctor Strange and slightly topping last year’s Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 and Thor: Ragnarok, neither of which were clear comps ahead of the opening weekend that smashed expectations. -

Deadline writes: Black Panther‘s Tuesday was down 48%, giving it a running five-day take of $263.2M, Black Panther should hit $300M by Friday (eight days), if not before. If not before! Which means it would need to earn 37 million on Wednesday and Thursday. 19+18=37 Stripe! I stand by my 120 million prediction for the weekend too. -

Only 15 million between conservative and strong projections? I say 20 Tuesday, 19 Wednesday, 18 Thursday, 35 Friday, 50 Saturday, 35 Sunday. -
Fandango Ticket Sales Rep More Than 30% Of ‘Black Panther’s $242M Record Opening Weekend Within the first 24 hours of Black Panther tickets going on sale on Jan. 9 –well before the pic hit tracking– Fandango observed that the Disney/Marvel release was beating the advance ticket purchases of summer hit Captain America: Civil War at the same point in time ($179.1M opening). At the time, box office analysts were cautious to comp T’Challa that high. They couldn’t believe it. Initial tracking four weeks prior to the pic’s release indicated $120M-plus, and week after week, Black Panther exploded from there. Fools. The signs, the signs were there! http://deadline.com/2018/02/black-panther-opening-box-office-record-fandango-1202296445/
