All the way up to Endgame, things feels real, there are consequences. The emotional weight exists. Now since things are getting too fantastical, I can't feel any stakes. Nothing seems like it means anything. Everyone is a god. That was the same problem I had with DC movies before.

It's kinda random but since I've just rewatched all HP movies before FB3, the force field scene at Kamar Taj reminded me of the force field in the Battle of Hogwarts and welp, that didn't help. Wong's "fortify your minds" cringed me to my bones. Instead of feeling epic, that scene looked like a joke. Then all of sudden it went from this weird childish tone to super graphic corpse fest. The thing doesn't know what it wants to be.

Scott Derrickson probably smiling somewhere
I want him back. I'd rather have a lower grossing smaller-scale but coherent movie than this janky mess. Scott makes great horror too, Sinister is just 😨

I wonder what Rotten Tomatoes is waiting for before giving this a Certified Fresh. 77% on 241 reviews is way overqualified already.

it almost feels misleading to still brand them as previews, movie started playing at 3 PM and had countless showtimes continuing well past midnight, that’s practically a full day.
In a few years they'll move previews up to 12 AM 😂

LOL remember when Feige said you wouldn't need to watch the shows to follow the movies?
You know what's even better? I watched the shows and still confused af.

Since you've seen the movie, please explain this to me. Based on a very detailed spoiler synopsis, both the old that lined up with the movie, and the new one from the premiere/screening, I just don't get it why Strange and Chavez are in the movie at all. Wanda creates a problem and then solves it on her own. Everyone esle just reacts to what she does, goes from A to B but no one really makes any difference cause she calls all the shots. Or is something lost in translation?
Well, yes. I thought the entire plot is kinda dumb. The only saving grace are its trippy visuals and Olsen's performance in the emotional climax. Rest of the movie is mostly just people walking through places saying redundant lines.

Just got out. I was bored as hell. Yup, paper thin plot, meh acting, plastic CGI. Interesting visual choices. Still, I can't feel a thing. Ending was okay, save the whole thing from being unredeemably emotionless. It's so weird cuz I love DS1.

The first showing in my country is 8 hours away but just to let everyone know, 10 mins was censored due to graphic violence. This treatment was only applied before with something like Deadpool.

It's so beautiful to finally see it reaching 400M 🥺

$5.9m for Tuesday.
Before any of you freak out about that, don't forget that a ton of schools were still out on Monday but were back in on Tuesday.
ugh it's the death of cinema.

It will cross the line one way or another. It's too close to miss now.

I'm satisfied now.
Either shooting through 1 Billie, or crumbling to the ground. The former clearly isn't the case, so I'm manifesting the latter (づ◡﹏◡)づ
burn it down.

As time goes on I keep appreciating Black Panther's run.
That sht was wild from the get go. The thing pulled sub 40, heck, sub 30 drops one after another like it was nothing, without any major holidays besides its OW (albeit its run was slightly supported by Spring Break). Doesn't hurt that it's a beautiful movie too. I still remember the moment it cut to the credit sequence with All The Stars playing in the background. Amazing stuff.

I watched EG 11 times in cinemas and still felt the thrill. I watched NWH for the 2nd time and already felt like i wanted it to end.
Less than EG multi then 😌 hmm maybe less than Civil War 😌 let's go 2.25x for 585M - worst MCU legs ever despite December !!!
- 3
-
So assuming it tops out at 675, this is bound to have the ugliest legs among the mega openers of December 😌 so much for A+ magic, first EG, now NWH
MCU truly jinxed the power of Cinemascore

so many spiders, yet no legs, i see.
Should have given all of them a few extra iron spider suits 😌

The only thing that jinxed this weekend page count was Endgame. Without it, everyone would be losing their sht (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜
Instead, now we're like, "finally, it's only within 100M short of the top spot"

This thing has its good moments, but i was left feeling "eh" at the end. Same feeling with HC and FFH. Nothing i have not seen before. But i get why people like it so much.
Dune spoiled me so badly i can't take the acting in this seriously, being afraid that people can burst out laughing at any time. And i read this kind of ending in some manga before. It did manage to squeeze some tears out of me 2 times, but i had to really let my guard down.
Maybe the 2nd viewing will be better. But yeah it's no Endgame. Endgame crushed my expectation. This merely tickled it.

ahahahahah bro let's not exaggerate anyway, NWH will not reach the same level as TFA in DOM. Come on I give you 0.1% chance that it will happen if you want.
I'll take the chance thank you. I called BP 200M and EG 350M in the past. There're lots of misses too but i'd always like to shoot for the stars.

This is the greatest theatrical experience for me since Dune. So so good.
