  1. How about that mouse with the squeaky voice that I'm always hearing about? Did you see him too in Florida? :P
  2. That fact that everyone else in the world has already seen FK makes it feel like I've already seen it too!
  3. Because Disney has been keeping this movie on life support for over a month now just so they can get that extra two or three million to break $100m for no other reason than bragging rights. Also, because it looks like it's finally going to manage to do it and people are going to say "Wow! AWIT broke $100!" But, what's going to get lost is that it did it by riding I2's coattails.
  4. Yes, AWIT had the addition of Show Dogs to contend with (Deadpool 2, Book Club, Show Dogs) whereas WW only had It and Home Again.
  5. Exactly. So, you could slot in Peter Rabbit or Sherlock Gnomes with I2 and still get the same PTA as AWIT.
  6. Disney's been trying to scrounge that extra three or four million to get AWIT past $100m for over a month now. First, the theater expansion and now the I2 double feature.
  7. WW had a -67% BO in w/e 15 (w/e after Labor Day) and lost half its theaters. AWIT had an -87% BO and lost all its expanded theaters the very next weekend.
  8. Also, there's a difference between the re-release of a popular movie that people might want to see one last time in theaters like Avengers and the re-release of a movie that no one was really clamoring to see again like Wrinkle in Time.
  9. Because people aren't paying to see SPECTRE or Wrinkle in Time. They're paying to see the more popular movie on the double bill and are basically getting the other film as a free bonus.
  10. And kudos to Book Club for breaking $60m. Virtually no marketing, slipping under the radar and managed to do more business domestic than Tomb Raider and Pacific Rim 2.
  11. Back to Wrinkle, so tell me, when was the last time that a movie had a +1700 expansion two months after its wide release date and not because of Oscar contention.
  12. But pairing I2 with a three-month old movie that's already out on Blu ray? On top of the 1700+ theater expansion gimmick that Disney played last month. No way, I call foul.
  13. Honestly, they need to put an asterisk by whatever domestic total WiT needs up with. It's unbelievable all the tricks Disney pulled with this film.
  14. Okay, so what's up with Wrinkle in Time's 750K Friday? Shady reporting by Disney? Or just an error. Because no way did WiT make 750K when it only make 30K the previous Friday.
  15. Wow! According to boxofficemojo, Action Point has officially closed out its run as of 6/14. Only two weeks in theaters for a 2,000+ screen movie released by a major studio.
